Probably so.
Man, frick the Saudis and frick every promotion and sport that's selling their souls to those bitch arse MFers.
I hate that we're seeing the Saudis being so involved with so many sports now days. Once they enter, usually major frickery follows because they're cowards and don't like to let results happen naturally and instead, prefer to pay off judges and fighters for their preferred results.
TL;DR - Saudis are phags.

John Anik is probably shaking his head as he leaves tonight going from Rogan and DC and their smoothness to this crew tonight.
Nobody has any chemistry. And Kellerman needs to be stuck to pregame shows or something, because he kills a broadcast.

It's also amazing to me how many former MMA fighters are so natural in front of the camera and incredibly articulatenin their analysis, yet there seems to be almost no former boxers who are any good at color commentary or with the mic on a broadcast.

I just don't like bringing their changes to America. You wanna pay half a billion to hold this superfight in Riyadh, present it however the frick you want, but don't come to Vegas, force the ring girls to cover themselves in unzipped burkas, and make the ring announcer blow you for 30 seconds before presenting the fighters.

Also, good on the one guy calling out how Canelo clearly wasn't concerned with this fight. He won when he signed the contract.

Before the fight, canelo mentioned his purse for this fight would take his career earnings over 1 billion. Guy has it made and already had a couple of losses on his record so i doubt he would be concerned about losing another.

He absolutely wanted to win this fight. Guys at that level hate losing more than they like winning. Bud is just easily the better boxer.

Happy for Bud Crawford as I've been watching him since he first made it on HBO about 12 years ago as a non-headliner.
I did not expect him to win this fight but that man put on a clinic.

Kellerman is awful. He was part of the reason for downfall and eventual cancellation of Boxing on HBO.

Money talks as always. You can say I don’t like blah blah blah ideology but when it comes down to it, money talks and everyone is in it for their own interest. Fighters got paid and fans got to watch a super fight. I bet if they have another super fight next year, we would all tune in.

I thought for sure that the fact Bud jumped up 2 weight classes would prove to be too much for him when fighting a guy who's been at that class for years and beat all opponents at that weight.
I figured Canelo would be behind early since Bud was/is the better technical boxer, but eventually Canelo would walk him down and start landing those hard body shots to slow Bud down enough to stop him late in the fight.
WRONG. Bud never was going to KO Canelo, but he sure put on a master class of boxing to claim the titles. Congrats to Bud Crawford for the win.

This will not be a popular take, but Canelo in this fight was no different than the Canelo in the Skull fight. He had no answer for the movement and never figured out how to cut off the ring.
Bud just threw way more punches than Skull did. Honestly by about the 7th round I was wondering why Bud kept moving around the ring like he did because he was clearly doing the better work and landing the better punches when they stood there and exchanged. Bud is as different as Bradley said he was.
Props to both fighters in an era known for the best not fighting the best. Both took huge risks to further their legacy.
