Get Gordon.
And Get it done.
That’s the ROI.
Everyone knows that rich as frick ambulance chaser.
But I agree, I don’t understand what the majority of them are getting out of it.
Same as Nike or Adidas paying for recruits and AAU stuff for basketball.

You're just giving your money to buy players now instead of a facility upgrade
And that will be what eventually bites the schools in the arse. There’s only so many times you can go to the same well.

Forgive me, but I can’t believe big donors will keep shelling millions every year for recruits with very little in return
They do this to control the program they support and be an insider.

Pretty sure the IRS provided guidance and said the collectives aren’t eligible for 501(c)3 status. No write offs for anything

I really don’t get the collective things other than it’s just a new name for the old way of paying kids under the table.
Gordon and sunshine equipment and tigerdroppings etc is no different than getting an nfl or mlb player endorsement which no one questions, maybe it works maybe it doesn’t but it’s normal advertising and using a (locally) famous athlete’s name image and likeness

The ROI is their favorite team winning more games.

I can tell you what it’s done for Gordon…it’s been a huge PR win for a scum bag ambulance chaser. He’s no loved by most LSU fans because he bank rolls a lot of athletes. Paying these players is way cheaper than commercials and other shite he does to try and keep his image clean and having to bribe politicians to keep LA laws friendly to his profession.

They get to pretend they’re part of the team. Especially the types who were no better than JV level for their sport growing up.

There is no ROI
It’s pay to play.
It’s pay to play.

He also checkmated the shite out of Dudley Dubossier who paid to be the official lawyer of LSU but get less pub out of that than he does for NIL.

The desperate adults to the west will do what it takes. One’s been doormat for 90 years. This is there chance.

Can someone explain the ROI for big boosters in NIL era?
Odd that no one ever questioned that but now that the money goes to the athletes, we wonder where that ROI is all of a sudden.

Forgive me, but I can’t believe big donors will keep shelling millions every year for recruits with very little in return.

I don’t think ROI has much to do with it at all. People with big companies and lots of money want to be “insiders” and important. Probably the easiest way to get access to coaches and brag about working with the athletic department it to friends and family.
There is next to zero ROI. The real return is on their ego. That’s it.
