At this point he’s just setting himself back in his postgrad life, assuming he’s not in medical school.

If the NCAA had said no he likely would have sued.

It's coming.

What other job can you only hold for 4 years?

The day you turn 25 is the day you stop playing college sports, no matter what - that's my opinion. I don't care if it's for injury, combat deployment, or other...

If you can't find a way to fit in a college career in 4 of those 7 years, then it's time to move on.

It was dumb as hell when Chris Weinke trotted out there at like 27 years old, and this is dumb as well. Dude is about to turn 26.

Why you say that? One entry level year won’t matter that much in the long run

If he was gonna be pro he would have went pro, so whom is this hurting?

Chris Weinke won a national championship and the Heisman trophy. He also got drafted and played in the NFL for a while. I'd say him going back to college at 25 worked out all right for him.

I get following your dreams, but at some point you got to look in the mirror and realize football isn’t in your future. Also being like 26-27 in undergrad college is pretty weird.

i gotta think that he has some kinda affiliation with Cristobal. he was at oregon, now miami, and about to play his 9th year, and if the stats posted in the thread are true (i'm too lazy to verify), then there's something else in play

most 5th and 6th year players have to be asked to come back on the team. they're not granted the right to play w/o approval of the coaching staff. so for his lackluster production, and the fact that he's been at oregon and miami, there has to be some other reason besides football as to why Cristobal is ok with him occupying a roster spot

Just think, some of you were still in grammar school when he first started his college career! What I don't understand is that he is listed as a "senior" at U.M., whereas by now, he should have at least two master's degrees.
