I never got the hate until I saw him pouting after the cotton bowl loss and crying about his defense. He’s an insane talent but a front-running mental midget as a person

I don't remember Kyler being this much of a bitch in college. People even seemed glad that he ended up winning the Heisman with the way he played down the stretch in 2018.
With Williams, you have people on these boards and social media wishing the Heisman could be taken away from him and given to Duggan, Bennett or Stroud.

But lost twice to Utah and to Tulane in the bowl game. Also has a couple of other near misses.
He was outplayed by other qbs.
He is a good player and will likely deserve those accolades next year as I expect USC to be even better, but I would have probably gone with the TCU kid this year.

Meh. His defense gave up 40+ points in all three of those games. He's the best player in college football and it's not even close.

It's the system, not the QB. Same system that gave us Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Put any decent QB in there and they will put up big numbers
