I wouldn't touch this clown as my franchise quarterback on the heels of his other bizzaro behavior.

Memo: You're not that special.

He's either been told by Chicago he's the pick or he's making some idiotically stupid decisions. If he's been told by Chicago he's the pick, then why even go to the combine?

So many red flags with this guy. Why would you risk the immediate future of your franchise for him?

For real. They're modern day slaves per some people

Chicago still has 7+ weeks to trade the pick though. So he needs to play nice in the sandbox. No one knows what is going to happen almost two months from now.

I remember saying this guy was a walking red flag a year ago and people defended him. Don't tell me that he's just protecting himself when every other player is fine doing these evaluations

If they’ve told him he’s the pick, they’ve removed that incentive. And if he doesn’t want to be a bear, he doesn’t have that incentive either.

Don’t think he’s sweating them trading their pick, if anything he may prefer it

Caleb and his dad are both being difficult in the process hoping it'll drop him away from the Bears.

If he isn’t telling Chicago then he could be trying to make a leverage play to get a preferred destination, despite recently being vocal that he’s not doing that. Guess we’ll see

nice sensible take.

Just don't draft him, or draft him and don't let him out on the field without medical clearance and let him sit at home and see how that goes.

He will do medical evaluations after his contract is locked up. He doesn't have to do them now, because no way in hell he falls past 3rd overall in the draft without doing them. he is 99% going #1

The fact that the national media doesnt consider the things this kid does problematic, but still harps on Rattler for a tv show 4+ years ago is mind boggling. He will be a huge bust.

This is not true.

He's only doing medicals for the top-5 teams in the draft, those that have a realistic shot at him.

There is literally no problem with this and I don't even like Williams as a prospect and a person but let's be fair here.

he knows he is going in the top 5. he will give his medical info to the top 5 teams on his pre-draft visit. why would this be problematic?

yeah, i think his happy feet will be tough to overcome in the NFL.

Dude seems like such a headache to put up with. Question is whether that's really how he is or if he's being intentionally difficult to deter the Bears from drafting him.

Football is a physical sport, and you're asking a team to pick you and invest millions into you. A medical evaluation could show, say, Sickle Cell (which affected Ryan Clark whenever his team played at Denver), a cardiac or spinal condition (which could shorten your playing career), etc.

You could argue that the contract doesn't go into effect if they don't pass the physical, but even with that protection the team still has a wasted draft pick.

An NFL team has a legit reason to see a potential pick's medical history, and to deny that just seems to indicate he's going to be a prima donna right from the start.

Okay. Just don't take the risks like teams that passed on Randy Moss. Why get upset at players tired of the constant poking & prying at this meat market?
