Apparently will not undergo any medical evaluations, nor is he sharing his medical records with teams.

Only player in anyone's memory to show up at the combine and do that.

Presumably he will allow the Bears to evaluate and review records, but there's been no word that that is the case.

Then I wouldn't have gone. There are ways to play the game and that ain't it.

If Chicago already told him he’s there pick and he is giving them the medicals, then I get it. No need for 31 other teams who aren’t going to be able to draft you to have your medicals really and one of those things that can only hurt you down the road.

If he isn’t telling Chicago then he could be trying to make a leverage play to get a preferred destination, despite recently being vocal that he’s not doing that. Guess we’ll see

Just don't draft him, or draft him and don't let him out on the field without medical clearance and let him sit at home and see how that goes.

NFL could fix this easily by saying he can't be drafted unless there's a presumptive medical clearance.

All players are required to get medical clearance before a contract becomes official

They just aren’t required to do so until they actually sign a contract.

Put your pitchfork back down and save it for another battle

Kind of a weird thing to root for someone to not have the right to medical privacy in the name of a combine

Pass. That’s enough drama for me to just move on to a safer option

I’m just saying about a year or two ago this board was much more concerned about medical privacy rights

If I'm trying to play the field, and I show up for the dog and pony part, then I need to make sure everyone is happy with me. This creates doubt.

Frankly, Caleb never sounded like he wanted to go to a bottom feeder with a terrible track record, so I doubt he's all in with Chicago, even if they are. But I'm not his advisor and the NFL, in the end, will put up with almost anything to get a franchise QB.

I thought having to tell your employer or potential employer private medical info was a no go for you guys but maybe I’m mistaken

Yes because the Arena League is a serious contender for his services

He says he's giving it to the few teams that might draft him during his visits

He is apparently sharing medicals with teams who he meets with (pre-draft visits), which will definitely include the Bears and Commanders.
