UL will have the majority of its defense back. Lewis has indicated he will be back to lead an offense with a talented group of receivers will need to grow up and become a strength.

Its not like Texas has Bama, Clemson, OSU talent.

They can easily lose to UL

I mean...you're an LSU fan, no? I've seen your screen name in quite a few threads regarding Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns.

Found an article from last year citing the Cajuns athletic department getting paid $1.5 Million for the September 4th visit to Austin.

Nice payday.

Because it is more sports. What should they talk about on the more sports board?

UT will win this game. Too much talent and Chris Ash has the defense back in form. Wouldn’t want to be the Cajuns week 1.... everyone back and healthy for Texas will be fun.

UT fan extremely confident going into week 1 of the next season? Must mean they are going to disappoint again

But in all seriousness I'm sure it's a long shot for the Cajuns to win. But if we get Mitchell back like someone mentioned, I wouldn't say it's impossible.

Seeing as how the Cajuns bitch slapped their only Big 12 opponent this year, no reason they can't beat Texas. I mean, Texas is no Iowa State.

I don't think it'll be a blowout for sure, and that's a nice chunk of change. Nothing but good can come out of this for the Cajuns.

I always pull for the underdog and Louisiana teams. With that said, it would sure be nice to for UL to come away with a win and 1.5 million in the bank.

Cajuns 34, UT 23.

Same, actually - underdogs and Louisiana schools. I’m pulling for UL; I just don’t see them winning this one. But if they do, so much the better!

What if the underdog is Texas?

They won't be. In fact, they'll likely jump us in the final rankings since they beat Colorado and we beat UTSA for our respective bowl games.

No doubt Texas will be ranked plenty of slots ahead of the Cajuns in the 2021 Preseason polls. Cajuns will likely be a 14 to 18 point underdog, which quite honestly a program with the history and resources of Texas should typically be a 3+ TD favorite.

Born & raised in Lafayette, a huge USL basketball fan, a bigger LSU football fan but supportive of both athletic programs. Now,I just find the Big Brother / little brother dynamic tiresome but amusing. Going back 50 + yrs, I've heard every wannabe jibe from them possible. Take your best shots, I've heard them all.

All this dribble means nothing. No one cares one or two dudes from Lafayette hurt your feelings as an LSU fan.

The OP asked about this game, between the Cajuns and Longhorns. Not which Cajun or LSU fans have been offended by the other.

Literally LOL. My original point / question was why should a LSU fan care about this game, UT vs USL?

This was asked in the MSB, not Tiger Rant. If you're an LSU fan and don't care, then don't ask or answer. No need to once again show your odd sourness towards the Cajuns.
