So you were “more likely to watch some of a game”
Dude why are people pretending to actually give a rats arse about this

I care about as much as you do.
I'm just pointing out that the people in control of women's basketball are stupid for not trying to grow interest in their sport.

Didn't the NBA put Laettner on the original Dream Team? Or are you suggesting Christian Laettner was one of the best 10-12 players in America? So, a precedent has been set for Olympic hoops.

Go back like a page for this dumb argument.

No, usa basketball did that.

He was selected as an amateur. Is Caitlin an amateur

Yes, 32 years ago, during the very first Olympics with pro players, an amateur athlete was selected.

What's that got to do with anything? I think it's been established that USAB wasn't mandated to take an amateur.

Yet the opted to from moment 1.

A random 1 off, that hasn't been repeated in 32 years is an anomaly, not precedence.

Nice. Let’s have a bunch of players picked that are gonna take a knee to the anthem or shoot a black power signal.
I’d rather lose with a team that at least has dignity.

Brink is the only deserving rookie… almost like Olympic coaches know something about their sport.

So we have a player that was traded for the release of a war criminal representing the USA? Amazing.

She's not that good, deal with it

The guards on the team are undeniably better than her at the moment. The Clark fans are proving every single thing right about why she is getting backlash. It’s not her fault but arguing someone who doesn’t deserve a spot should be on the team is going to make people dislike her more
Taurisi’s old arse is definitely not better than Clark lol

Or maybe she was overhyped.

This is such a terrible argument. Laettner didn't deserve to be on that team either.

Replace Griner and Tuarasi with Brink and Clark.
The women would still win every game by 20+ and build sport and fanbase at same time.

When Caitlin is allowed to
1.) run point
2.) play at her fast full-court pace
3.) have teammates that can catch her passes and rebound
....she is one of the most exciting athletes in America.
To not see her be able to do that with the league's best (i.e. the Olympics) is a damn shame.
But I'm actually fine with her getting a much-needed month off of rest.
