They clearly didn’t take the 12 best is my whole fricking point.

Period. The end. Arguing Clark or any player should make it due to other reasons is childish

Why isn’t anyone knighting for all the other rookies left off the roster?

Because their argument is it doesn’t matter if Clark deserves a spot or earned it she has alot of fans so she should make the team

I suppose they would have also argued a rookie Tim Tebow would have deserved to make a hypothetical Olympic football team

Livvy Dunne would be a massive ratings hit to be on the Olympic team as well. Should she also get taken?

Are you seriously equating the popularity and solvency of the NFL with women's hoops? Please tell me that you are not. That's like comparing apples to hub caps.

Imagine how big the gymnastics team would be with Taylor Swift.

How 3x3 differs from the 5x5 game is that games are 10 minutes long with a 12-second shot clock and are played on a halfcourt. Games are to 21 points with 1- and 2-point baskets. Should a team not reach 21 points, whoever is leading when time is up is declared the winner.

How in the frick is this an Olympic sport?

And why do we still pretend womens athletic contests are comparable to mens?

And why do male-born panzies get to play sports as women, if we tone down a sport down to this level for the women? Hell, any man could play a 10 min game and wreck shop against 3 women

This is the mission statement of us basetball

Mind boggling that you continue making an argument that isn’t even relevant..
In the end. I don’t care. I simply find it destructive on their part and worthy of laughing at..

Probably would’ve watched some of the games if hey would’ve injected some new blood or at least abstained from rewarding a player who despises the country but alas.. ill continue not watching

So now “conservatives” have gone from “take the best period” to “let’s use feelings”.

Nice ?

frick publicity and anything else when it comes to the Olympics. Take the best pampers that earned

What do "conservatives" have to do with anything?? I was just saying if they did indeed want more people to watch the women's basketball olympic team, it would be a no-brainer. I didn't say it would be the right choice based on talent (though I didn't say it wouldn't be either).

She is the greatest college women's basketball scorer of all time and has 200 points and 75 assists faster than any player in WNBA history. Christian Laettner was on the Dream Team. That was much more of a stretch.

Sure, if we ignore the fact they intentionally chose 1 amateur. It was him or shaq.

Really.. from a business standpoint alone… it absolutely can make a difference.. the concept on a different level of course played out when USA basketball realized it was time to unleash the Dream Team

That team is a major reason for the explosion of basketball across Europe which has grown the NBA exponentially

Griner has been injured most of this season, but she literally made an all-star team last year. So it's not like her spot on the team is out of nowhere.

Besides, she doesn't even play the same position as Caitlin. Griners spot on the team has zero to do with Caitlin not being on.

Because it was a forced requirement to have one college player in order to allow the nba players to play

Because the dream team was the first time the USA basketball team was loaded with the best players

That isn’t what taking Clark is, it’s the opposite

But you used Tom Tebow as an example to bolster your argument. Which means you equate the NFL's and the WNBA's circumstances.

I do not

I equate both players as being more popular than their actual on field/court results

Caitlin Clark does not belong on the Olympic team based on play. You would be admitting you are only taking her for popularity

Tebow would be equivalent of that for the nfl his rookie year
