Nike is going to give her an eight-figure deal and her own shoe. That will make her popular with the WNBA vets.

Good for her. Get it while you can. She’s good, but I don’t think she’s lifting the entire WNBA like she was able to do for a few weeks in college

And that's what they are counting on.

My friend group discussed this at our Monday Morning Breakfast. None of us could name two WNBA teams. That is the core problem.

My daughter's high school has a "good" girls basketball team - one that competes for state titles and has D1 signees every year it seems.

I went to pick her up from a game and it was running behind so I went in and watched most of the second half. It was one of the most brutal displays I have ever seen. The only thing that made it interesting was that the game was close.

Missed open layups, loose balls going out of bounds, lazy passing. The product is awful.

Good for her. F the WNBA vets.

Maybe she will change the face of the league from athletes who hate this country and the non radical people in it.

I wish her Jordan like success financially and athletically.

Why not? If Phil Knight wants to do this, why shouldn't Caitlin Clark Cash in?

They don't like her because she's more talented than them.

I have zero issue with it. I hope she sells more shoes than Jordan.

A sport dominated by communist tattooed lesbians being taken over by a hard working, straight prairie girl that loves her family, God and country?

I think it's awesome.

That's awesome.

I'm surprised the alphabet lobby will allow Nike to associate with Caitlin because:

Here is the elephant in the room. May be , just maybe if the WNBA had mostly attractive women playing in the league it might be more popular.

There isn’t a huge pool of talent for girls BB.

One player can make a mediocre team great but the second they leave, you have teams who are scoring 3 points a game because they can’t replace the star who left.

I don't even think they have to be attractive. The WNBA is the NBA on steroids when it comes to politics.

Hell, I watched a clip of Clarks press conference yesterday and the team owner had a rainbow flag shirt on.

But to your point, she's an average looking girl thats a 9 when compared with the WNBA roster.

It's a difficult truth. I watch the LSU ladies play, and Angel Reese's offensive post play is horrible. Shooting underhanded so close to the goal, slinging the ball up hoping it goes in, or dribbling into defenders when no dribble is necessary are just a few things that drove me crazy watching them play. Not all lady players have those issues, but it just shows that the quality is poor. Apparently having enough size and athleticism (even if unskilled) is enough to be a college player. Sad. And this is coming from a fan.

I'd be shocked if Nike wins on any major eight-figure deal. There's only a very small subset of women who would care about nike merchandise with Caitlin Clark branding. Your average woman rarely wears anything nike as it's probably consider too cheap.

Good for her, that’s a great example of how capitalism works.

I heard a report last Tuesday that she earned over three million dollars of NIL money her senior year. Again, good for her. That’s capitalism.

What isn’t capitalism is paying her and her teammates more because men make more in their deals. That’s socialism.

But yeah, check out this comment on Haley Van Lith visiting Mississippi State. Unpopular opinion - I dont think this was meant to be racist.
