After the contract Burrow just signed he should be able to choose where he plays next. If I’m him I’m not signing with the Bengals again. Also, he needs to let the organization cut bait with Chase.

So:

A team with a great defense that keeps you in games and two top 20 WRs isn’t a good spot to be for a QB?

I mean it sounds pretty nice

First it was the line, now it’s the coaching.

Elite QBs make it happen no matter what.

Good/slightly above avg qbs need coaching (Carr, Purdy, Darnold)

Granted, I think Taylor’s scheme is arse, but Burrow kept creeping up into trouble and must think he is faster than he is. Must’ve been 3 times he crept up to a sack.

Taylor will get canned in the next year or two for a HC that can push them over the hump. Remember Taylor was on the hot seat until Burrow and Chase lit up the NFL and had the improbable run to the SB

I can’t imagine thinking that matters even a little bit when evaluating QBs

Mahomes’ stats, championships, and accolades blow Burrow’s out of the water. Literally nobody outside of LSU fans and Bengals fans thinks they are remotely close.
In fairness, the original reply that sparked this discussion stated that Burrow was the biggest threat to Mahomes.

I don't see how that's even up for debate at this point, he pretty clearly is or at the very least, has been in the past.

Bigger concern and I hope it turns around, Chase. The guy can’t get to that level of a head case. I mean be made about a penalty but when linemen and your QB are trying to control your temper when they should be worried about the next play. And even after all that your coach still has to calm you down, you are becoming a distraction the talent won’t be worth to the team.

Here’s the other issue with the Bengals offense- no running game. Zach Moss and or Chase Brown can’t rival peak Joe Mixon and Sameje Perine.

Yep, I turned the game off when dumbass Zac dialed up two pass plays on second down and when our line was creating space for Moss/Brown. And… a moving clock.

Just dumb, but they are making millions so what do I know?

Joe Burrow makes even more millions and has the final say of what play is called in the huddle.

dawgdiddler is a well-known hater. When it comes to Burrow or LSU he just can't help himself.

You don’t think Burrow could have won those Super Bowls if he was in Mahomes’ spot?

No one is saying Joe Burrow is better than Patrick Mahomes. But it is a factual statement that he is Patrick Mahomes biggest competition in the NFL right now.

Joe Burrow is 3-2 vs Patrick Mahomes and is the only QB not named Tom Brady who has defeated him in the playoffs.(Lsupride bringing up a loss in which burrow didn’t play is irrelevant)

And to the dumbass saying Josh Allen would be better if he had the Bengals defense..

The Bills have had a better defense every single year Burrow has been in the league and they were a top 5 defense 2 of those years. Cincinnati has always been in the teens statistically, they just play the Chiefs very well.

Patrick Mahomes is tGOAT in my eyes but Burrow has his number more often than not. The last 2 games they played each other, the chiefs won on last second FGs. So you’ve got Joe winning the first 3 games and then being ahead the last 2 games all the way until the last second and losing on FGs after personal fouls get them into FG territory and the chiefs win those games (which is obviously what counts). To argue he doesn’t match well with him is silly
In terms of head to head. Mahomes obviously has the hardware and Burrow doesn’t.

Joe Burrows defenses give up 6 less points per game than Josh Allen in the playoffs (18 vs24)

Specifically against the chiefs, Joe burrows defense gives up 12 less points per game than Josh Allen in the playoffs (24 vs 36)

Want to try again?

That’s not how statistics work. You’re using outliers instead of averages to mold a fake argument.

It’s not even arguable to say the Cincinnati Bengals defense is better than the Buffalo Bills defense.

As stated in my quoted post, they play good against the chiefs. That doesn’t mean they are a better defense.

What?

In the playoffs it absolutely is. The Bengals defense has far out performed the bills defense in the playoffs.

Josh Allen’s defense gives up 24 PPG in the playoffs

Joe Burrows defense gives up 18 ppg in the playoffs

The bills defense becomes shite in the playoffs and the bengals becomes elite

I love how you posted averages and he claimed they weren’t averages

By the way, Jared Goff is 2-0 against Patrick Mahomes, believe it or not

The main years Joe burrow was healthy and played for Super Bowl and the AFC championship (2021 and 2022)

2021 they were 17th/19th in total D and pts
2022 they were 6th/7th

The bills those year?

2021 they were 1st/1st
2022 they were 1st/2nd

You are obviously being dumb to prove a point. Using playoff stats to say the Bengals are a better overall defense? That could be a 1 game sample size depending on the year. GTFO

Using a 2 game sample size and saying it’s an average is idiotic and not factually accurate.

It’s like using the first 2 weeks of this season and saying the Saints averaging 44 pts a game means they are a better offense then one that averaged 43 pts over an entire season
