Their defense only gave up 16 points. They weren’t the biggest problem

The Bengals had a few key drops that changed the game from a win to a loss. Cant really blame that on Burrow.

Two fumbles (one on a punt return, the other on a would be TD pass) are what cost them the game. That’s a 10 point swing.
I will say the offensive scheme was odd for most of the game. Too many deep routes with not enough protection. Not sure why Cincy continues to try that.
Also, Burrow has never had 3 #1’s, that’s asinine.

They entire team does under Zac Taylor. They are 1-10 for the first two weeks under him.

It was everything. Burrow didn’t look great but the main problem is Taylor just can’t scheme up any easy chunk plays or just any schematic advantages. They only ever have success when Burrow chase and Higgins can just beat opposing defenses on their own. Just compare what Reid does for the chiefs and Mahomes compared to what Taylor does for the bengals as far as play creativity.
Burrow is still rusty, Chase is rusty and sick, and Higgins is out. They have the worst skill players in the nfl behind those two. Oline also fell apart towards the end of the game as usual when pats knew they had to pass.
Long season and they typically get better, but also very possible that this iteration of the bengals peaked in 21-22 and injuries are starting to wear on burrow and he and chase can’t cover up for Taylor’s shittiness anymore. Plus the organization has whiffed pretty badly on talent acquisition in the past couple of years.
