And the other side of the ball is the only reason why they made that Super Bowl.

They did win. So I’m not sure what the whining is for.

Defense gave up only 16 points.
Burrow and the Bengals won.

A lot of retardation going on in this thread. I do agree, Burrow would probably do better outside of Cincy there is a reason why they didn't win a playoff game for over 30 years before he got there. All these braindead dudes thinking he's the issue, or that he could even take a pay cut in this day and age are just retarded. There are about 6 dudes on this board that know ball. It's game 1 of the damn season and people are acting like Joe Burrow sucks. He's already proven 7 straight years that he is elite and doesn't suck.

Josh Allen won like 5 games last year while throwing for under 150 yards. Where was this energy for him?

Burrow is the problem lol. Spending what? $120 million plus for him and his two WRs and you come out with 113 yards? That’s not on the owner nor HC, that’s on the QB and his receivers.
Yeah man week one in 2025 is a great way to explain away 5 years of bullshite.

You took 4 years off after getting embarrassed by your Burrow takes prior to his super bowl appearance. Ready to make a fool of yourself again?

So it's Burrow's fault that Cincinnati is even marginally competitive every season. Got it.

Did I start a thread after any of those games blaming his team?

Look, there will be some games where burrow plays great and the team loses. Maybe then start one of the thousands of threads talking about him having no help and needing to leave

But when you throw for 130 yards, lead your offense to only 7 yards in the second half, and your defense carries the team to a win, don’t start a thread talking about “needing to leave because burrow doesn’t have help”

The help saved him yesterday

Every game is the same: Great opening drive for a TD, total confusion and frickery the rest of the game

There are some common denominators here:

Michael Brown
Zac Taylor
Joe Burrow

I'd ascribe your point to the first two (especially #2 in game) before #3.

I’m not starting the thread because burrow had a bad statistical day. I’m starting it because he’s getting blown up consistently and has been his entire time there. Maybe part of it is because he’s holding the ball too long but there were several plays where he was having to bail out of the pocket or had a defender in his face almost immediately.

I'm curious how much of the "starting slow" is from Burrow.

It’s a cheapass organization for sure, but they have invested a ton in the line and his weapons around him. They have missed pretty badly on oline draft picks and even on experienced vets that have done well in other places. They’re trying they just suck.

If the bengals were losing to the chiefs in the playoffs every season it would be a much different story.
They can hardly even make the playoffs.

The Bengals defense actually looked much improved yesterday. I know it was the Browns, but they weren't getting gashed up and down the field like they did last year, and they were getting gashed by everyone, including shite teams. Still have trouble getting off the field on third down.

He already had an elite WR1, and still demanded a WR2 be paid as a top-5 WR. He has no one to blame but himself.

Only so much money to go around. It’s great having marquee names, but it comes at the expense of role players.

To be fair, the Browns kicker left 4 points on the board and their offense totally gave the game away
