Is it possible for the SEC to take in 10-20 schools who would like to play? Call the whole thing the SEC since their essentially putting it on. Would be a huge money maker, and prove once again its everyone's daddy

You were fine.

For the record, I'm totally ok with LSU playing Florida every year and Ole Miss playing Vanderbilt

I think I'd be more down with SEC Socialism scheduling if Tennessee could be good more than once every fricking 20 YEARS

Who said we were?

Pretty sure everyone has recognized we’re not going to games this year. Doesn’t mean we won’t be able to watch on TV

50k in the stands and tv revenue is a big chunk of change particularly compared to zero. Athletic departments are going to be bankrupt without any sort of funding from football.

Also I wouldn’t call a 13 game round robin schedule of SEC schools to determine the sec champion and de facto national champion “exhibitions”

Will be 1/3 to 1/2 capacity imo. This is kinda contingent though on mlb and nba resuming without fans. They go players only without massive issues then the sec plays with some attendees. Season ticket holders get a pre specified package of games or something.

frick it. Rearrange the schedule so that every SEC team plays each other and then have a 4 round tournament. I’d watch.

You have to think SEC and Big 12 want football at all costs. I have no idea about the ACC. You know Clemson wants to play, but the nerds at places like Duke might not want to play along.

There is some doubt about Syracuse having a season. I'm curious about BC and the Virginia schools

I think the only thing the SEC may give in to is not having the fans there. They will test the players like crazy and still make a shite load of money from tv.

My understanding is, if say Cali schools can't play then teams like Oregon and Arizona would play once at each site to make up for the lost games.

How about making the California teams play all road games. Sorry guys, tough luck.

Still won't cover their cost buts it's better than no revenue

Which is why any school with Any set of balls will go forward. Athletic departments will be having mass firings or looking for bailouts in 6 months without football.

Some conference schools

Just say its the Pac-12 schools not in California. I would get so much schaudenfreude watching the non-california schools play while those marxists in Cali get to stay home thinking they're helping.

Would love if SEC West teams didn't have to wait 6 years to play a rotating SEC East team at home, or 12 years to play a game in their stadium

If the SEC just played in conference this year, they should play 6 games against division opponents, and then 6 more against the opposite division. The one team you dont play is the non-rival team you played in 2019. That means you play every SEC team between 2019-2020.

I think there will be some sort of season, but a lot of those meaningless bowl games won’t be played.

The academic side of things will say this until it's explained to them how much money football brings in (for the big boys at least). We will then see a season.
