Ellis is a quality piece as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we flip Aybar.

Defense typically peaks early and Simmons hasn't shown much (if any) improvement at the plate, but I still like this deal for the Angels. The best defensive player in baseball locked up on a favorable contract is quite an asset.

frick the braves. I went to my first braves game in 1992 as a wee lad and have been a loyal fan for far too long. This trade is beyond stupid. frick that entire organization. I feel bad for Freddie having to deal with this
