I watched Waters and Pache at Mississippi. There was very little difference between the two in terms of fielding and offensive production in AA. Since then, Pache has physically blown up and has the higher ceiling.

Hell I’ll take getting out of the first inning without being down 4 or 5 runs.

I’m thinking start Wright and plan to get five innings out of him. The Braves need relievers ready to go for games 6&7. Just have to hope that the offense can keep Atlanta in the game.

Wright is not a good pitcher right now. To expect him to emulate Wilson and go multiple times through the order isn’t rational. If he goes through once and we are in if we need to go for the kill shot.

I think the Braves have two options tonight...

Start Wright...short leash.

or

Open with Greene and try and get 2 innings out of him. He has barely been used and should be fresh. Follow up with Wright...again, short leash.

No way does Tomlin see the mound anymore. Those Dodgers hitters can feast off that soft shite.

I'd say use an opener like Minter or Matzek, get to the back of the order, then bring in Wright for 3 innings. Let the offense get going and there will be less pressure

The issue Wright has is his fastball is very flat but at times is the only pitch he can throw for strikes. The only pitch he can get strikeouts on is his slider. If he can’t throw the slider for strikes hitters will sit fastball over the plate. The Dodgers didn’t chase the slider out of the zone and we saw what happened. I would start Wright and hope he can make it three innings.

I think Wright will surprise us tonight. I’ve got a feeling deep in my loins.

I'd go Minter in the first inning and then bring in Wright.

I would not go Minter with Betts being a righty.

Didn’t they say earlier in the series that Betts has reverse splits and actually hits righties better?

Regardless, I agree that it would be smart to start with one of our better relievers for an inning or two to get into the flow of the game and then hope Wright could give you 2-3 innings beginning with the bottom half of the order.

2 questions:

1) can you read?
2) can you understand context?

It would be so ideal to close it out tonight and be able to set up our pitching how we want for the World Series, but we have some equity to play around with by having a 3-1 lead.

I think you start Wright and hope he can give you 4-5 innings, even if he gives up 4-5 runs in that span. Who you go with after Wright depends on the what the game situation is obviously.

Our bats have a prime opportunity to wear down the Dodgers pen tonight, one that's already a little depleted. Best case scenario, we win tonight. Worst case scenario, we're still up 3-2 with Fried going tomorrow against Buehler and his blisters with a tired pen.

I'd go Kyle Wright. Ynoa was the obvious before they used him in G3.

Wright with a short leash, then just throw Tomlin for a few innings.

if we are getting blown out again, then yes. otherwise, I just think that the Dodgers are a terrible matchup for him and don't want to see him anywhere near the mound in any game where the lead for either team is 5 runs or less lol.

Statistics say that Tomlin is clearly superior to Wright. Your eyeballs say no way because Wright has TOR stuff, but problem is he cant locate anything at all.

Guy averages 6 BB/9 in the majors... 5.68 BB/9 this year! That is beyond horrendous, every decent outing we got from him is guys just chasing stuff out of the zone.

I think you start Wright, and if he is the usual Wright you have to pull him early and go with Tomlin

Have Wright try to go 5 innings and hopefully we have the lead so our BP can seal it up
