I’d take Rodgers

Manning lost more post season games as a big favorite than any other qb in history.

This is a tough one. I think physically Manning was better, but Brady is/was the better leader.
All of that being said, what Manning did with the Broncos is criminally overlooked. Completely new team, Chad Pennington arm strength, and still put up bonkers numbers. I gained so much respect for Manning then, and I also think he showed a lot more leadership in those years too.

He was fired from the Browns
After Kosar went scorched earth and the owner moved the team in the middle of the night. That Browns situation was so disfunctional its tough for me to hold that against Belichick.

You would think this board would favor Brady after what he did to the falcons but for some reason a lot of Louisiana folks have a hard on for manning because he’s from New Orleans and his dad is Archie even though he’s never contributed to Louisiana sports in any meaningful way

The issue you have with a lot of NOLA fans is they think Drew doesn't get enough credit.
It was Brady vs. Manning
Then it was Brady vs. Rogers
And then last season it was Brady vs. Mahomes.
Drew was always considered (rightly or wrongly) the third or fourth elite guy throughout Brady's run by the national media and fans.

quote:wrong. Absolutely wrong. Brady is simply much better in clutch. Pat's would have won 2 or 3 with manning.
If Manning played under Belichick, they would have rings for every finger and their penises.

While you are at it, back it up for Brees and Rodgers as well
K thanks

West coast ag makes it regularly..
He’s claimed that if anybody else drafted Brady he would’ve never been more than a clipboard holder and washed out of the league in 4 or 5 years

I guess he doesn't know that Belichick has a losing record without Brady and the team that fired him in the 90s won a Super Bowl with Billick and Trent Dilfer.
Of course you've got people on here who somehow don't know that the current Browns are a 99 expansion franchise.

I think Brady is right there as potentially the greatest of all time
However, as a 6th round draft pick, it was crucial he went to Bill and the Pats
If he went to the lions or Bills etc etc they may have lost him in the shuffle and he would have been selling insurance in 3 years. That can happen with great players who are drafted late/undrafted

Not since he has been the Pats head coach

In all, Belichick has gone 13-6 (.684) in 19 games without Brady at quarterback for the Patriots. To put that in context, no other team in the league besides Belichick's Patriots has posted a winning percentage higher than .684 since Belichick and Brady joined forces in 2000.

Both Peyton and Brady missed an entire season due to injuries.
So how did each team perform compared to the norm of their respective teams without them as QB?
Brady basically missed almost the entire 2008 season, (he threw a total of 11 passes). The 5 previous years, the Pat averaged 13 wins a year. In 2008, they won 11, so just a 2 game drop off without Brady behind center
Peyton missed the entire 2011 season. In the 5 previous seasons, the Colts averaged 12 wins a season. In 2011, the Colts only won 2 games, 10 less than their average

Wait do you really think if he goes to the Browns he doesn’t still have the same drive that made him one of the greatest ever? You don’t think he’d spend the same time preparing the same time studying defenses working on his mechanics building a relationship with his receivers? Bill is a defensive minded coach 90% of what makes Brady great at the player level has 0 to do with who his head coach has been. That’s what made the pats so deadly the past 20 years bill can just worry about defense because he knows he can let Brady do his thing. Tom Brady would have been great no matter who he went too. If you did any research you would know he was impressive in his first spring he raised eyebrows almost immediately

No matter your work ethic or talent if you are a low draft pick QB you can get lost early and forgotten
