Answer this question simply yes or no: did Peyton Manning have better weapons around him at the beginning of his career than Tom Brady? I say yes therefore that will slant the statistics in Peyton’s favor slightly no matter who was the better qb at the time. I agree Peyton was probably better earlier in his career but it’s due to arm strength and knowledge of the game more than anything else. Tom has always been a fairly accurate qb even for nfl standards but it took him a few years to get where Peyton was at mentally

I think the colts offense was better around Peyton, but think it’s negligee in the difference in their stats

Peyton invented the modern game of Qb, where it’s won in the prep room, and receivers and everything else are just a pawn in the QBs pre-snap Read

Brady picked up and followed.

However, your quote about arm strength is way off. Brady has always had a stronger arm than Peyton

maybe it was because he didn’t have any real deep threats but it always seemed like Peyton took more shots earlier in his career

It was become Brady wasnt as developed as a QB and was very conservative

Brady has proven pushing it down the field and putting up big numbers isnt dependent on WRs
