Not since he has been the Pats head coach

Sure about that?

quote:

In all, Belichick has gone 13-6 (.684) in 19 games without Brady at quarterback for the Patriots. To put that in context, no other team in the league besides Belichick's Patriots has posted a winning percentage higher than .684 since Belichick and Brady joined forces in 2000.

So he's 13-6 without Brady at quarterback for the Patriots despite the fact he went 5-11 in 2000. Brilliant work.

Brady basically missed almost the entire 2008 season, (he threw a total of 11 passes). The 5 previous years, the Pat averaged 13 wins a year. In 2008, they won 11, so just a 2 game drop off without Brady behind center

They went from 18-1 in 2007 with Brady to 11-5 without Brady. That's a drop off of seven wins.

quote:

Peyton missed the entire 2011 season. In the 5 previous seasons, the Colts averaged 12 wins a season. In 2011, the Colts only won 2 games, 10 less than their average.

The Colts went 10-7 in 2010 with Peyton Manning and 2-14 in 2011 without Peyton Manning. That's a drop off of eight wins.

The drops are comparable. The teams are not. The 2007 New England Patriots were only a minute or so away from becoming the first team since the '72 Dolphins to finish the season with a perfect record. They returned all but two of their starters from the year before in 2008.

Brady immediately goes out and the Patriots go from one of the greatest teams to ever play the game to a team that doesn't even make the playoffs the following year.

On the other hand, the 2011 Colts were DELIBERATELY trying to tank their season to get Andrew Luck at #1. They succeeded in doing that and go from 2-14 in 2011 to 11-5 and a playoff berth in 2012. Was Andrew Luck THAT good or were the Colts just trying their best to suck THAT bad in 2011?

But Kurt Warner didn’t get forgotten. That’s my point and Tom Brady’s a little better than Kurt Warner

You made my point for me Kurt is a prime example if your good enough eventually your gonna get your shot. Idc where Tom Brady went he would’ve got his shot. Whether it was because of an injury like in real life or showing out in pre season eventually he would’ve been noticed

And they aren't even arguing for Brees either. That's what's so weird.

Manning is so much better than Brady on every level.

Manning literally redefined the QB position.

Brady was a much better fit for Belichick. Not even close. Manning would have wanted things done HIS way.

Not at the "winning Super Bowls" level.

TB12, playing with a chip on your shoulder and the burden of proving something produces some incredible feats by mere men

says the guy who thinks beady would be bagging groceries if not for the patriots based purely on his own fantasy

You have your head so far up your arse when it comes to Brady

The guy is possibly the greatest QB of all time. Nobody is denying that

But as a low draft pick his margin for error was slim, and being in the right spot was key for him to get time to develop.

Playing on a great team, brady had passer rating of under 87 his first 3 years......If he is on a shite organization or a shite team his career arch could be very different. That doesnt take away though from what he has accomplished

If anyone thinks Brady becomes Brady with any organization then why wasn’t he a superstar in college? It’s not like he went to some podunk FCS and wasn’t a big time program that was in a bad stretch with lousy coaches like his school has been since his coach was forced out

He was the backup on a NC team and Michigan was cranking out NFL QB back then, going back to Harbaugh in the 80s. Did he not have a “work ethic” or “burning desire” in college?

at choking? He's the reason Brees has a Super Bowl.

He barely has a winning record in the playoffs. Get the hell out of here.

I thought regular season didn’t matter

Also you’re the one who mentioned playoff record but I’m sure a Bama fan is unbiased when talking about Manning
