He inherited a team that everyone knew sucked, midway through this season they traded their best player in Rondo, they still made the playoffs though.

In 2 seasons he is only 65-99 for a .396 winning percentage, has he proven himself in the NBA bringing the Celtics to a 1st round loss vs the Cavs and finishing 2nd in the Atlantic division?

He's got the team improving and the players seem to buy in so I'd say he's done pretty well.

He may be my favorite coach ever. Loved his system at Butler and I think he's great. Once he gets some more pieces, he will be very successful

so he took a lottery team out of the lottery in the east. Whoop-de-doo

he's a success on one level in the NBA, but he hasn't had a GREAT team or won the title with a team that could win it

Great coach. Bright future. Shouldn't have rushed to make the playoffs this year though.

Trading Rondo was a surprise that turned out to be a good move. Being a 7 seed or whatever in the East is not good, though. They keep doing that, they're going to be in Phoenix Suns purgatory.

In a star driven league he took the Celtics to the 7th seed in the east with zero stars

I think he's a good coach, but too early to say IMHO that he's a success.

ummmmmmmm he intentionally tanked last year. keep up. how do you think we got marcus smart with the 5 pick??

he has coached great this year with a motley crew of players in year 2 of a 5 year rebuild.

Did you see the roster he had to work with when he arrived in Boston?

The chips were stacked against the guy and he still found a way to take that lackluster team to the playoffs.

Great coach and will continue to get better. I just wish he showed a little more emotion. His guys were getting railed against the Cavs.

Did he intentionally tank or was it the roster he was left with?
