Do you understand how much exposure that would give both teams?

Teams like LSU, USC, Florida, Alabama, etc don't need exposure. Boise State DOES. That's why they should go play at these teams.

Also, let's look at 2009 SOS rank of the teams you're comparing to Boise State (remember, this is AFTER the bowls when Boise finally got to play their 2nd ranked team. 2 out of 14)

TCU - 65
BYU - 66
Utah - 70
Boise State - 101

Pre-Bowls
TCU - 81
BYU - 62
Utah - 64
Boise State - 113

they played UGA like 4 years ago FWIW

And lost 48-13. Their program is on the level of Mississippi State.

its not in any BCS schools best interest to play them...

I keep hearing this and it makes ZERO sense to me.

They are pre-season top 5 next year. You know they usually will beat EVERY shite team on there schedule, so they will finish 11-1 at worse most years and in the top 15-20.

It is completely advantageous for a BCS school to play and beat Boise, that'd be GREAT for there SOS.

this. BSU has tried to schedule a lot of BCS-level teams who turn them down

And those teams didn't turn them down because they were scared, but rather Boise's ridiculous demands.

Why should they take a 2 for 1?

Fine, then I don't ever wanna hear bitching that no one will schedule them if they're turning it down.

That link basically PROVES your early statement incorrect where you said the'll play anyone, blah blah blah.

Please let this happen. I hate these spoiled delusional non bcs schools so much. It should be a freaking honor to play a program the caliber of Nebraska in your shitty 30000 seat stadium. I'm also stunned at the fact that most of them don't realize how much they have benefitted from the BCS. But no, they want more. Also, it pisses me off when fans of programs that haven't experienced recent success like the Arkansas fan in this thread always stick up for the "little guy". It's not our fault that your programs are struggling. If their teams were in national title contention every year, nobody would be hearing a peep from them. Heck, most would be complaining just as much about the weak non conference schedule of the smaller programs.

La Tech played Miss State and Boise in 2008.

Results:

Tech - 22
MSU - 14

Tech - 3
Boise St - 38

I think it's funny that BSU thinks it can build some kind of national recruiting base because they're playing this game in DC and not in Blacksburg, as if that's going to be any kind of advantage for them. DC is a much larger VT fan base than lower Virginia is.

38-21 VT.

Ok maybe it would be advantageous for a team to play them this year .... but who would have seen that 6 years ago? These OOC schedules are made up many years in advance. You can't just change them at the drop of a hat.

It will look alot like the Boise / TCU game. But VT's defense isn't as good as TCU's.

Boise - 24
VT - 17

based on what?

based on VT having to play teams with actual talent vs TCU not having to do this?

and can anybody answer my question about why TCU/BYU/Fresno, etc can schedule multiple BCS teams in a year without problems, but BSU can't? is there a conspiracy against BSU?

So if you beat 1 ranked team and your SOS is 113th you should play for a national title over two other undefeated teams with significantly harder schedules?

My point was that we won't know how good the VT win is for Boise until the season plays out.

They want a home and home and want the game to be played in the first 2-3 weeks of the season so they are fully healthy for it. Nobody wants to play them on their piece of smurf crap field.

My above statement. TCU, BYU, Fresno will play teams throughout the year. They arent all 5'8 130 lb players who get beat up during the WAC. They also arent all bent up about home and home. Well TCU kind of is.
