Everyone wants Boise to come to their place, but why wont people go to Boise? Until people go there you have no right to bitch. They are allowed to play non-con game at home also.

everybody on the '04 Auburn team returns in '05 would you expect some respect?
that team went undefeated with a BCS schedule
how many BCS teams did BSU beat last year?

Auburn '04 schedule sucked balls, but it wasn't because of our conference, it's because we scheduled easy OCG.
it didn't "suck balls"
it just wasn't as good at USC/OU's SOS, if memory serves
BSU's schedule is much, much worse
also, BSU scheduled a motherfricking 1AA team last year. there is NO excuse for that

Wrong. In that scenario they'd have a chance (See Oklahoma). It's in the grind of an SEC season they'd fall short.
Leave the WAC, then we'll talk.

I am no Boise fan, but they have openly begged in the press to get a game ANYWHERE with ANYONE that will schedule them. They didn't even caveat with a home and home - they basically said "have game, will travel..period!"
Now, it's completely understandable why someone in the SEC or another power conference like the Big 12 would not randomly just say "okay" to playing them. It's potentially a dangerous game vs. a team that has shown up vs. every challenge in Bowl games vs. bigger named opponents.
Teams in the SEC have 0 to gain by playing Boise. The strength of the SEC speaks for itself, and Conference play alone trumps virtually anyone elses schedule.
Unfortunately, Boise is always going to be on the outside of the talk. It's only a matter of time, until the computers etc bump them down due to their SOS, and teams like Alabama etc jump them. Only the ignorant sportwriters can possibly keep them at #1 all season - assuming they stay undefeated.
If they really want to be considered, Boise must get into a power Conference.

This has already been discussed between teams of importance... The problem is when Boise State goes to schedule "good" games, they are pushed aside... Most ADs don't want to schedule them... None of this is their fault...
Who has turned them down?

How many 1AA teams have SEC teams played in the last decade? Is this a pot meet kettle moment?

I'm not happy when anyone schedules an FCS team, but I think there is a difference. When you play 1 BCS team before Labor Day and no more you shouldn't play an FCS team and then bitch.

Can you link this? I remember them asking for a home and home, but not the scenario you are describing.

I started a thread about it once before. I guess since then they are asking for a home and home.

They only control like four games on their schedule. Other teams have either backed out on them or have refuse to play them. They need a game. Period.
FWIW, I don't want Tech or Tulane to play them, even if it's at Grant Field or the Superdome.

not true imo.......they would start getting more money from that conference and will get better athletes and will stick. They might take a little punishment but I wouldn't bet on them being down forever. I would say no more than 3 years (enough time for the newly recruited athletes to step in).
I don't think BSU is going anywhere, they will eventually get into a conference somewhere and will continue to win imo.

Boise St. returns 21/22 starters and EVERY backup (I'm pretty sure) They will go undefeated and play in the MNC Game

it's all public relations bullshite and lies

of all the BCS conferences not named the pac10, i believe the SEC has played BSU in-season more than any other recently (when UGA arse-raped BSU in 2005)

this happens to major programs also, and they deal with it. they don't always schedule 1AA schools
if a BCS team is in the hunt and has a 1AA opponent when another team in the hunt doesn't, it hurts their argument (see: AU in 2004)
when BSU schedules a 1AA opponent on top of their already horrible schedule, nobody says shite
