This is weird as hell unless he's taking the job full time.

When Barry Alvarez did this a couple of times at least he was working at Wisconsin at the time.

Doesn't Stoops technically still work for the athletic department as like a "special advisor" or some BS job title?

Riley obviously didn't want to deal with the SEC. He was apparently pissed the school was making that move.

But, from interviews I saw with Stoops back in the summer, he was all for the move. I think he'd relish taking on the likes of Saban and LSU and Jimbo every year.

I didn't realizwe how young Bob was. He's only 61. He definitely has more coaching left in him.
