I just hate when the WR does a celebration TD dance when his team is still down 38 - 9.

I'm 66 years old, I remember watching football with my brothers and my dad back in the late 60's through the early 80's and the celebration after scoring a TD would be teammates slapping the dude's shoulder pads after scoring. Generally the player who scored would hand the ball to one of the officials, and then the ball spiking started ......the rest is history.

I get worn out by the hype, really quickly. That is why I rarely watch.

Every small happening is not that damned important.

Bo is right. I mean how many times these idiot players go out of their way to point both arms signaling a first down after making a play. It’s so repetitive and uncreative. It’s like a kid trying to get your attention.

Then you get the defense posing celebration in the endzone after a turnover. Then replay shows that the ball carrier was down. They're just so quick to do a “look at me” moment. It’s not men that I’m watching, it’s children.

1) team down by 21 points, linebacker on the losing team tackles the winning team’s ball carrier after a 2 year gain. Gets up and dances with his boys, does the “feed me” nonsense etc. 2) losing team is driving down the field with 30 second left on the clock. Losing team’s diva WR makes a catch, then proceeds to get up, flex, and piss away 8 more precious seconds all while the QB is begging the team to get lined up

Those things don’t happen in those situations. Maybe they happen once a year. You’re exaggerating.

And when that happens, who is hurt and how does it affect the game?

So, are we acting like this is only the NFL? It happens in college, too.

This is what gets me.
Some of these guys are gathering their teammates and practicing.

NFL is a terrible pro product, just really bad football.

Just turn away after they score and ignore the dancing. Dude is just getting old and prefers golf but has to blame someone.
I also think the choreographed dances are goofy but I dont pay attention once they've scored unless it's my favorite team playing and I'm really engaged watching every moment. Better yet, watch the game an hour late.on DVR and fast.forward through cellys and commercials.

The way we played it out at Doc Elliott Stadium in 1975 wearing our Ridell suspension helmets. !977 was the 1st year I remember refs calling 15 yard penalties for leading with your head. It was also the 1st year I got a helmet with padding in the top. .When you're 5'9" and 165 lbs. playing guard and LB in LHSAA 3A district, you use whatever you've got. When you have a 38" chest and a 28" waist you dive thru the air, and pound them with that 7&3/8's head.

This is why the whole CTE/football thing is way overblown (if not outright fabricated). If football was so dangerous for our brains, then people my age should be ambling around our country's streets like armies of spot dribbling zombies. We all grew up playing football with suspension helmets without a lick of padding. Haven't seen those armies yet.

I miss Marques Colston

No celebrating. No dancing. No crying for the ball. No off the field shenanigans

711 receptions
9,759 receiving yards
72 TDs

Dude was never selected to a pro bowl team or an all pro team. Damn shame

Or the Bob N Weave until the coaches St. Louis beat in the 1999 playoffs who were on the competition committee helped ban it.

I doesn’t “hurt” anyone, doesn’t mean people can’t find it annoying though

I like how nobody seemed to notice the link to 80s players dancing.
