Had to edit and bump this one.

We've witnessed some amazing dunks over the last couple days

Judging by his yell in mid-flight and body language afterwards it looked like he may have been mad that Lucas almost undercut him. Could have turned out badly if not for LeBron's freakish hops. Not that I'm making excuses; I don't really care one way or the other.

That's what's silly about all this "over the back" bs. LeBron had no intention on jumping over JL3. He went up for the ally and JL3 backed into him while in the air. Jumping over a 6' guy without knowing you need to jump over him is impressive.

As far as Blake's dunk goes, it was amazing as usual, but he's constantly using his offhand to aid that dunk. Pretty sure you're not allowed to use your offhand to prop yourself up/pull the other guy down. Still amazing to watch though and props to Blake for always wanting to kill someone on a dunk.

wait, what?

So now Lucas has to give up position and just let him go by?

yeah he was pretty subtle about it, but as he's starting to come down he definitely holds himself there with the left arm for a min...fortunately for him his right hand is doing SO MUCH that nobody is ever really going to notice that at game speed

JL didn't know where LeBron was, but JL undercut him while he was in the air. You can't run under someone while they're in the air. So yes he has to give up position in that situation.

My objective opinion: Lebron's dunk > Griffin's Dunk.

They each show just how athletic both guys are. However, while Griffin dunked on a MUCH bigger and taller guy than Lebron did, his "dunk" was barely a dunk. It looked more like the "threw" the ball through the net as opposed to "dunking" it.

Lebron not only had to jump over a defender (admittedly much shorter than Perkins), but still had to catch the pass, with one hand mind you, and finish the dunk.

There's probably at least 50 people in the NBA that could have finished Lebron's dunk in a similar fashion.

Other than Griffin, Lebron and Dwight Howard are probably the only other two people on the planet that could have finished Griffin's dunk. That wasn't shawn bradley stick figure, that was a 275lb 7foot guy putting his body into you 5 feet from the rim to stop a dunk. Most people would have gotten blasted and it would have been a hard foul on Perkins.
Like i said, other than Lebron and maybe Howard, i don't think anyone else is athletic enough to do that while also being strong enough to absorb contact from a much bigger person.

Griffin's wasn't even a dunk. Sure it looked cool but he just threw the ball into the basket.

I agree it looked pretty cool, but he threw the ball into the basket over Perkins hands after he was pushed back by Perkins. He didn't dunk it thru him.

I just think its way more impressive when the dunker absorbs some sort of contact from the defender and still proceeds to dunk the ball thru the defender with the defender ending up being knocked back.
