NEWS: Big Ten players who test positive for COVID-19 will only be required to miss 17 days, a reduction from 21, according to a document obtained by ESPN showing new policy from B1G's return to competition task force medical subcommittee. Same cardiac protocols will remain.

Agreed, but to change it minutes after OSU gets in the playoffs looks bad. The Big Ten commission just can't seem to get out of their own way.

Oh for sure. They should have changed the minimum game rule way earlier. Should have changed the # of days way earlier

Should have started the season at the latest 10/10 with 2 extra weeks

The Big Ten leadership is a bunch of hypocritical spineless fricks. Their preferential treatment of Ohio State all season has been disgusting.

I ain't even mad at them for trying to help their teams.

HOWEVER, they deserve all the criticism and shite they get/are getting for being the hypocrites that they are.

Tried to cancel college football with all their virtue signaling. Now look at them.

This proves that the Big Ten’s decisions leading up to this season were all just virtue signaling. Money and prestige are still king, and they’ll do whatever necessary to get them.

I’d have never believed it if you had told me the nations most respected consortium of public research institutions would prop up their poor decisions with junk science, but they did, and they’ve stuck to their guns.

The whole CDC recommendation + 7 day conditioning period is so stupid.

Half the people that get the virus don't even develop symptoms. Why in the world should a player have to go through that conditioning window if they didn't develop any symptoms?

Money trumps all in college football, why are you guys surprised by a conference changing rules to ensure they don't mess with their money?

Everyone does this. The ACC didn't even try to hide it. The SEC does it for Bama every year.
