Maybe La Tech, you know how much better they are then other teams in the universe. The SEC should definitely add this legit football program, but they won't because every member institution is afraid to play them.

Big 12
Lose Mizzou
Add Colorado State

Add ECU, UCF, Marshall, Villanova

MWC
Lose Utah, BYU, Air Force, Colorado St, TCU
Add Boise, Nevada, Fresno St, Idaho, Hawaii, Utah St, New Mexico State, San Jose State

CUSA
Lose ECU, UCF, Marshall
Add Troy, TCU, Louisiana Tech

Sun Belt

And to make it easier on the mind, the MWC would be:

no way Marshall would get in, ECU and UCF maybe and Nova doubt it, playing in a joint that holds 12k wont cut it

TCU already joined and left CUSA. Don't see them joining again.

well, Nova would have to expand to enter the FBS anyway.. assuming they could do that to get to at least the 15k minimum.. and with a conference loan could expand to 30k..

UCF (45k), ECU (43k), and Marshall (38k) match up with existing members Cincy (35k), UCONN (40k) and Louisville (42k)..

mostly though, dont frick with my perfect scenario..

i actually first called it the 'new' SWC.. but went with CUSA instead.. we could call it the really intriguing match ups conference..

I couldn't live with that BE, no way in hell Marshall would get in. WVU already thinks its a waste of time to play them

I'd like to see the Big10 pick up Mizz, then the Big12 get Arky, then the SEC get Georgia Tech back

This.

I want GTech back in the SEC. In the past two seasons alone they've scheduled/played six SEC opponents (including LSU) and went 4-2 versus SEC schools.

GT wants back in from what I can tell. At least once a year there's an article in the student newspaper, etc

You're getting way ahead of yourself.

Arkansas would not leave the SEC. There is way too much money involved

i agree. sec has billion dollar tv contracts. big 12 to my knowledge has nothing to compare. i want university of houston, tcu, miami and clemson to join sec. would make a great 16 team league and give arkansas fans a chance to get back into texas and south carolina fans to really rev up there rivalry. what say u.

If Mizzou leaves to go to the Big Ten, the Big XII will look to add: TCU, BYU or Utah, IMO.

I doubt it. None of them bring anything to table in basketball or baseball, which are both pretty big in the Big 12. I don't think they'd want a 4th team from Texas either, and the other 2 don't have good enough football tradition to justify the extra travel to Utah. Maybe you know something I don't, but those 3 are terrible choices imho. Arkansas would be perfect for the Big 12, but I don't know that they'd leave. Though I'm not convinced Arkansas makes a ton more in the SEC than they could in the Big 12.

This senario was on Rivals Radio this morning, and it sounds crazy, but I could see it happening. None of these teams have strong tie ins to the conferences they are currently in.

Missouri to the Big 10
Arkansas to the Big 12
Clemson to the SEC
Rutgers to the ACC
Memphis to the Big East
Middle Tenn St to CUSA

I can't wait for a few Rantards to say LSU should leave the SEC for the Big 12 because we keep getting screwed by the refs.

16-team league idea:

Play four out-of-conference games and four in-conference rivals (home and home, 2 home 2 away). Seed teams based on BCS rankings. Take a bye week. Last four games consist of a tournament (top seed gets home field) which decides the champion of the conference. Losers play each other somehow.

I dunno, I tried. It would be pretty neat.
