re: Better coaching job for college baseball: FSU, UF, Clemson, or GT

I've seen several televised regionals at Fla.St. and have not been that impressed with its facilities. Especially in comparision to the palaces in S.Carolina,Ark, LSU, O.Miss, Starkvegas & even at A&M thou it is smaller in size. Just comes across as a nice grandstand & nothing really in the outfield? UF's lack of a great baseball facility I've never understood, as it has a huge revenue base to draw on, has an above average winning program in the SEC, and is in the middle of a great recruiting area. I've read it's the heat, but have you ever been at The Box in BR in May/June?

The issue at FSU is space when it comes to Howser stadium. That's why they have such a short porch in right field.

If I was to rank the jobs you have listed I would make it
FSU
UF
Clemson
Tech
But if I could add two jobs that can explode quickly I would add
Oregon, they are pumping money into the program like crazy, network exposure with Fox and Pac -10 Net, and have already proven they can win
Indiana, new park, making baseball a priority, B1G, TV exposure on BTN, central location to major metro areas, CWS apperance recently

Gotta be Tech. HOPE Scholly + East Cobb feeder program + absolutely no expectations (Hall hasn't done shite with immense talent yet no hot seat) + solid (but not great) recent history/strong recent alumni base

I agree attendance could rise up to FSU, Texas type numbers. For whatever reason there has never been a ton of interest in the baseball at UF. Maybe if they put some shade structure it would help. Most other sports do very well in attendance, hard to pinpoint one underlying issue.
The only thing that is really substandard relative to the SEC is the stadium itself, the other facilities are nice and recently upgraded.
UF had the 3rd longest sellout streak in the nation dating back to 1979 until Muschamp ruined it a couple of years ago.

Remember the swamp wasn't shite for attendance until SPurrier built it up.

We had a sellout streak (which ended under Muschamp) that started 11 years before Spurrier.
