eli manning did beat 2 NE, brady, MVP, in his peak teams

People always say this as if the games were a shootout instead of a defensive battle.

NE’s defense gave up 17 ppg. Eli led his offense to exactly that. Definition of AVERAGE.

NE’s offense averaged around 31 ppg. Eli’s defense held them to 14. Only time all season they scored under 20 points. ELITE

Also let’s not forget Eli led the league with 20 INTs that season. The vast majority of QBs with that many don’t even make the playoffs but Eli did. He basically fell upwards into the playoffs. His best play was having heaving a pass into double coverage to a backup WR that required a miracle catch. And this was after he almost threw an INT to Asante Samuel. He got lucky as hell to win that SB despite his mediocre performance.

No disrespect to Drew who is a first ballot hall of famer; but when it comes down to getting it done in the clutch with everything on the line, Eli clears Captain Checkdown.

This is so much bait that you could catch enough blue crab to stock every market.

Peyton Manning stands alone in the pantheon of postseason chokers but let’s not pretend Brees isn’t on his tail

In fact, apparently Eli never received a league MVP vote.

It is a pretty good bait post

1 more SB team win wouldn’t put Manning over record setting Brees

Exactly. By this logic Eli would be a better QB than Favre as well. Terry Bradshaw would be top 2 of 3 all-time, and Trent Dilfer would be better than Dan Marino.

Brees had 23K more passing yards than Eli. Eli had 23K more passing yards than Steve Deberg and Ryan Tannehill.

Its laughable to even make the comparison.

2 Super Bowl rings >>>> 1 Super Bowl ring.

Plus Eli made $8million more in contracts and even more in endorsements.

I'll take Eli's career. Paychecks matter.

My point exactly. “Almost” is the story of Brees’s career.

Not sure if the "career" angle here is what OP was going. I think Brees is CLEARLY the better player.
However if the question is whose career would you rather have had? I think it's a fair question

As a Giants fan, I’m going with Eli. Brees is a bit of a bitch.
