Best breakdown I can find separating clutch QB play vs Defenses letting them down

Shows how often the QB takes the lead when he gets the ball in the final 5 minutes down 1-8 points and leads the team to take the lead.
Also shows once that happens, how often that QBs defense doesn’t blow it
Amazing that Brady’s defense came up clutch 90% of the time they took the lead
Dude owes a lot to the football gods
NFL average is defenses held the lead 73% of the time their offense took the lead
Bills at 43%
more likely than not the bills defense will blow it after Allen leads a game leading drive
Also Aaron brooks being more clutch than Drew….

vs refs helping them, hence Mahomes' rate.

Yeh Mahomes and Brady’s defense being at 90 and 88 percent kinda show why they win more than the other elite QBs…..
It’s a team game but some people will never accept that basic logic

Yeah when that other thread came out I checked into his splits and he remained the same player, stat wise. So this explains it. LINK
The next layer would be to look at clock management. But usually when you're down, the priority is scoring, time second.

Hope no one bet the Bills tonight.

There’s still a lot left on the bone there.
What percentage of the clock was killed by the offense before scoring on average?
Your defense might give up the lead more often because you’re scoring too quickly or getting stopped for a FG when you could’ve killed more clock.

Well that 43% is about to get lower

It’s just amazing.
9/10 times Brady’s defense holds there
Josh 4/10
Yet men, fully grown men, will make wins and losses a QB stat
