Chad Jones and Southern Lab ended our football season in the playoffs his Sr year. Chad Jones running out there against 1A kids was like watching a madden created player. Someone that size shouldn’t be that fast. It was unfair.

Played some pickup hoops with/against Russ Springer, former MLB pitcher. Hell of a HS basketball player, led Grant to the state finals vs. STM.

The only two black kids in my middle school were Mike Bibby who was an NBA All-Star and Mike Brown who was a Pro Bowl safety with the Bears. I thought all black kids were that good at sports until HS.

I played against Arnez Battle (Byrd) and Brady James (Wossman and West Monroe).
by far the two best athletes on either team on the field..
Arnez was like trying to tackle a junebug and Brady was like trying to block/move a 30 year old pine tree.

Reggie Dupard … kid grew up in the Magnolia Housing projects, played HS ball at Curtis, part of the Pony Express and top 3 RB's in SMU history, then played for NE. Playing 1A HS football, he was unstoppable
