Lots of people in this thread scoffing at Curry and picking old timers.

In my opinion all old-time teams would get smashed by the current Warriors. They would drown in points via 3s. Curry should undoubtedly be at that 1 if we're playing by current rules. Magic is definitely better all-time, but in today's rules, I'll take Curry. No one in history can score as many points as fast and efficiently as he can.

Magic
Jordan
Durant
LeBron
Shaq

Size + offense + talent + defense + top 3 at their positions.

I'd probably go with this, except give me Steph over Magic. Not for individual accomplishments, but because I'd want to be able to space the floor a little bit better and Steph would give me that option.

You throw out LeBron but keep Jordan in. How does that make sense?

That's my thought. With Lebron on the floor, magic becomes pretty irrelevant with a sub par outside shot.

Bird is easily a top 3 player all time. As versatile as anyone ever. Best shooter, especially considering height (not bc it's rare but bc hard to block). 2nd best help defender all time. Ultimately, scoring is most important aspect of bball, and he's as good as anyone, including clutch.

James (greatest combo size, strength and ballhandling all time)
Jordan
Bird
Duncan
Shaq

any other list is ignorant

Why no LeBron? I get not wanting another Jordan/LeBron debate, but if you aren't putting LeBron as a starter on an all time team, you're just dumb.

PG--Magic.
SG--MJ.
SF--LeBron.
PF--Russell.
C--Wilt.

To a certain extent, Russell/Wilt is based in them vs the competition. Players have changed so much physically that I'd go Duncan, and than maybe Olajuwon or Shaq if I just wanted the best of the best.

Anybody not including Bird is a retard.

He had the greatest turnaround in NBA history and all the Celtics did was add Bird.

Won MVP 3 years in a row before back problems caused him to slow down.

12X All-Star

3X NBA champion and architect of probably the greatest team of all-time - 1986 Celtics.

He probably doesn't deserve starting five, but if you have Stockton in over Isiah at PG you need your head checked.

Added Gerald Henderson, and ML Carr as well, but I get your point. I think some of it is what type of team someone wants to build. For me it would be very close between KD or Bird. I think Bird is the better player all time, but for my team with Steph, MJ, Lebron, and Shaq, I'd personally, probably want another guy who can just expose people defensively with his length and athleticism.
