I think what he is simply trying to say is who here believe Butler and Duke are the 2 best teams in the nation in basketball?
I know the BCS damn sure isn't perfect but the 'Bama-Texas was a much more desirable #1 vs #2 matchup than Butler vs Duke.
But thats not to discredit either team for making the tough runs that anyone has to make to even reach the championship game.

We rarely get to watch the two best teams play for the NC in the BCS era as well. In fact, I can only think of only four times it's happened in the twelve years ('99 Florida State vs. Virginia Tech, '02 Miami vs. Ohio State,'05 Texas/USC, '09 Alabama vs. Texas).

I'm biased, but I still think it's NC State. At least Villanova had to play lights out to win. NCS was given a gift when Guy V decided to slow it down after UH was beginning to run them out of the building.
That being said, if Guy V is not in the HOF, they need to close the damned thing.
