yea, that's why they have only hit 50k at FCS like 8 times (usually due opposing fans filling it) and almost always rocked a tarp to reduce capacity.

Some dumbass even tried to edit the 2011 score in Wikipedia under the "Baylor Football" page to make it read 35-28 instead of the ACTUAL score (55-28). I fixed it of course.

sounds like an obsession to me. Baylor must be in your head bro for you to do that.

All bowl tie-ins should be scrapped.
South Carolina would have sold it out.

Yes, just let the bowls set up whatever matchups they want. Maybe have a lottery for which order the Bowls pick in before the season.

I've never read your posts before, but reading your responses in this thread... jesus dude, you need to take the TCU goggles off every once in a while. You seem delusional... TCU is not the best program in the country... it's ok to accept that.

I never said they were, I was just countering the Baylor excuses of why they haven't sold any tickets and using TCU's attendance at the Fiesta Bowl in 2010 as a counterpoint.

It's not an excuse. Fans don't want to spend thousands of dollars to watch an exhibition game. I don't know what is so hard to understand about that and TCU has nothing to do with it.

And yes, Briles is a classy guy, I don't know why you find that comment so hysterical. You need to stop listening to the Gary Patterson propaganda.

Alamo Bowl (Texas vs. Oregon) is sold out

Chick Fil A Bowl (Texas A&M vs. Duke) is sold out

Maybe Baylor just has shitty fans.

Attendance smack is for bitches who can't win on the field. Hence, why a UT fan started the thread and why a TCU fan is in it trashing Baylor.

We could play in front of 500 people weekly and I would care less if we won the Big 12 championship.

The game was sold out before the teams where even announced...

Not possible since the schools don't receive their allotment until they are announced. Nice try though.

Baylor fans crapped on TCU attendance numbers back in the day when Baylor was going 2-10 every year.

I'll be the first to admit that TCU's fans are fair-weather.

Baylor doesn't even seem to have those, because if the weather hasn't been "fair" for their program the past couple of seasons then nothing short of a national championship is considered "fair". Just writing this post has me wondering if they would fail to sell their allotment for a national championship--I doubt that would be the case, but its also not a completely ridiculous thing to wonder.

All-in-all, If you can't sell bowl tickets after the season that they have had, then you've got a lot worse problems than a program with fair-weather fans. TCU probably brought an average of 30,000 fair-weather fans to their 2 BCS bowls, and the situation around our Fiesta Bowl bid was strikingly similar to theirs in regards to a lackluster matchup--though we had greater reason for disappointment as we were barely on the outside of the title game picture after an undefeated season. Considering Baylor got into the Fiesta Bowl from a situation where they didn't control their destiny, they should be fricking ecstatic. There just aren't enough of them to get ecstatic.

Did A&M sell their entire allotment?

I haven't seen anything saying so, genuinely curious.

There is usually an allotment the schools have to buy. Baylor has to pay for so many tickets, they may have sent them back so they don't go unused.
