Texas beating Bama is a better win than Bama beating UGA considering Bama will now be ranked higher than UGA.

As much as people complained about it, this is why they’re expanding the playoffs.

It feels insane to leave out an SEC team. It’s even worse to leave out a 1 loss team that beat that team in their city.

Makes Texas win the best win in the country.

Two score win on the road against the team that beat the #1 team.

You can make an argument Texas had a better win. You can’t make an argument Texas had the better season.

Correct. Texas has the best win on the road by multiple scores. No way they should be left out.

I mean it kind of does.

They are the only team with a win over another conference champion.

What?

What’s insane is leaving out an undefeated Conference Champion

Bama had a chance to be undefeated, too. They failed at home.

Georgia was 2x defending national champion going for a three-peat and on a 29 game winning streak. Alabama has the best win all season. Saban is the only coach that beats Georgia consistently.

But when it comes to comparing Alabama and Texas directly, Texas made the argument that they are more worthy than Alabama.

3 undefeated power 5 teams

And a team that beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I just don’t understand what’s so goddamn hard for you all to understand.

If Alabama didn’t have a QB going into the discussion and were undefeated, would they have them in the playoffs?

3 wins against top 15 > 1 win against top 15
1 loss to one loss team > 1 loss to two loss team
SEC Championship > Big 12 Championship
65 > 7

All powers 5s are not equal. Pretending like FSUs win over the 5th ranked SEC team and a conference championship win over a team that lost to a 3-5 SEC East team makes them a lock is stupid.

That should actually be 34>24 and the only point that matters when comparing these 2 teams as conference champions with identical records.

Other than Georgia today, who is their top win?

So Bama jumps 3 or 4 spots and UGA falls 4 or 5 spots off of a 3 point game?

I mean, I can understand if they take UGA out of the playoff with that loss, but dropping them behind Bama just because Bama won (by 3, on a neutral site) is beyond stupid.

Final Ranking should probably look like this:

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Florida State
4. Texas
5. UGA
6. Bama
7-10. Who cares

They didn't beat UGA today. Nobody has beaten UGA in 3 seasons except Alabama.

If you are asking who Alabama's best win is besides UGA it would be #11 Ole Miss.

Alabama has the most games played against the top 25 and the most wins vs the top 25.

I like the way you put in “#11” to spice it up It’s Ole Miss.

Oh. I agree with that. I just assume FSU is in, because they should be. I was arguing between Texas and Bama for the 4th spot.

I probably didn’t state it well, but I was moreso saying it feels absurd to leave an SEC team out based off the SEC’s track record. But it’s what the committee should do. Next year, they won’t have this issue.
