Ball boy freaks out on Jags player after Travis Hunter's first career int

Reading the comments, our society is absolutely cooked. Grown men worshiping a football player who is clearly acting like a jackass.

They always give up the ball, the ball boy was going against the grain

Not how that works. Each team has X amount of ball boys with 1-2 balls on them that they will give to an official if needed, they will then go retrieve the ball that was out of play so they have one available for the next time they are needed.

Wrong. Each team has 12 Game balls that officials inspect before the game and another 10-12 backup balls that are kept in a box on the sideline that are also inspected pregame in addition to 4-6 kicking balls. At most a team has 30 balls that can be used, but most games with nice weather will only see 10-15 actually go into play, and that including the kicking balls. Kickers are weird so the PK will have 3-4 preferred balls as will the punter. Have even seen some kickers that have a ball they prefer for each hash.

Had Hunter ran to the sidelines with it, nothing happens. Hunter celebrated and then left the ball. The ball boy picked it up, then Allen chased him and tried taking it.

I think the ball boy should have given it up, and I imagine a staffer from the Jags did get ahold of the ball, but that doesn't change how incredibly wrong you are about something that every fan got a crash course on several years ago. When deflategate happened there was no shortage on articles or segments devoted to the job of a ball boy.

That's what the JAC player was trying to secure. It seems like the ball boy was intentionally preventing this which caused the conflict.

You could tell Hines-Allen was initially shocked and confused at the ball boy's actions.

Had the ball boy just acted normally, there wouldn't have been a scene.
