Who is going Saturday? I went Game 1, but didn't get tickets for 6 or 7. Thinking about secondary market tickets. Just want to make sure it is 95%+ Braves fans to give the team a lift.
Speaking of crowds and baseball, is there a consensus on whether intense crowd noise hurts/helps a pitcher versus hurts/helps a batter? I'll be screaming my arse off for a strike when the Braves pitcher has two strikes on the batter wanting a strikeout then I'll be screaming my arse off when the Braves hitter is facing the same situation wanting a hit. Is it really just the home team player knows they are cheering for his success and the road team player knows they are cheering for his failure that arguably makes the difference?

Quick question: why did we sign panda man in the first place?

Hail Mary last year before the playoffs in the hopes he could get a couple clutch playoff pinch hits like old times. The next best option was Camargo, so....

Johnny Cueto in that wild card game in Pittsburgh is the only time I've ever seen a pitcher that was visibly shaken by the crowd.

I'm going to believe that the Braves crowd got to Buehler in game 3 of that NLDS (the Acuna GS game) and that we will do it to him again if we get to Game 7.

That stadium better be packed for the one game we play this weekend.

Also, this:
Buster Olney tweet from during Game 6 last year
Makes sense. They hit him hard that night and they hit him hard again last night. Maybe that's why their dugout looked so confident last night after they fell behind 2-0.

Hmm. He gave up 8 hits over 6 in Game 1 too (but was able to limit the damage).

Unfortunately, I'll be going out of town and will be at about 35,000 feet during the game.

This should've been a 4 game sweep with all of us resting up and making WS plans but we blew it in the bottom of the 8th while up 3 runs.
This is such a stupid and myopic way of looking at things considering we came back from the brink in game 2.

BUT, I think a blowout was better. Nice to give Matz, Minter, Jackson and Smith night off
That wasn't a soul sucking game. Just sucked.
I will be in the battery looking to hawk tickets after the start.

That dadgum Taylor is a .250-.260 and maybe 20 HR average guy but he hits HR vs Braves like he knows what pitch is coming. It’s crazy. Don’t like that guy.
it's probably true that he did know what was coming. Rumor out there is that the Dodgers stole the signs, most evident in the 2nd inning, and the Braves never realized it and never changed them. They knew what was coming the whole game.

It felt like the Dodgers were playing for pride in that game more than they were playing to win the series.
Kind of like us in game 3 of the 2018 NLDS.
That team is being held together by duct tape. We should take care of business tomorrow.

Yea the Dodgers were swinging freely and swinging hard last night and have roughed up Fried somewhat consistently. They have something on him.

it would take balls to do this because you would be selling out the bullpen to pull this off, but Dodgers have sucked against our Lefty bullpen arms and Smyly (though probably an aberration)
what if you let Ian go one time through the order, then brought in Smyly for 2, Minter for 2, and Matzek for 2. Let Will Smith close it out.

LA #Dodgers? manager Dave Roberts on forcing Game 6: I think we've got a mental advantage right now, getting back on that plane and going back there playing Game 6. History's a powerful thing to the mind and so we feel good and I think that we're going to use it to our advantage.’
Dave Roberts thinks Americas Braves are some weak minded bitches.

Joe Simpson and Ben Ingram noticed that the bat boy for the dodgers continuously would go out to the guy on deck whisper something to him and then return to the dugout. They said it happened over and over again and found it curious.

That is totally correct, however, all the "if I told you before the series.." talks go out the window once the series actually starts. And the reality is that last night shouldn't have even bene played. This should've been a 4 game sweep with all of us resting up and making WS plans but we blew it in the bottom of the 8th while up 3 runs.
and as i said before the dodgers blowing game 2 does not make us have to blow game 3 and " call it even" for us to avoid our sweep of them. it is who capitalizes and who does not. at the time. even with both "chokes" braves failed first shot to close out. You either want it or you do not. carpe diem.
quote:
There's no way to spin that that is deflating as frick.
plenty dumbass clowns here are spinning with weak excuses. dodgers fans say they were tired and worn out pre-game justifying a loss and trying to rationalize it, yet they kicked our arse. a braves fan here says dodgers are really good in order to justify the failure last night and the choke job in game 3. both are pussy arse excuses.
at any rate let's see if we can break the curse saturday. we have another chance to prove ourselves. GO BRAVES! If we fail saturday we have one last shot and that is it.
get it done. man the frick up.
