Looks like Eddie Rosario was designated for assignment.

You have to be strong defensively up the middle or you can forget about winning anything in the postseason.

Same applies to having 3 or 4 automatic outs in your lineup. Piling up strikeouts and double plays is the fastest way to get sent home, as we have seen the last few years.

Even our top of the lineup guys have high-ish strikeout rates as just part of who they are. Just a bad recipe for postseason baseball.

We could do worse as far as finding someone to split time with Duvall. He does know the guys.

Non-Braves related, but if Rosario is DFA'd does that mean Nats are calling up Crews?

IMO most fans thought when we locked all these young guys up long term on cheap deals that the Braves would use the "savings" to supplement the team with some larger FA swings, or at the very least keep some of the older vets who were still performing. So far it looks like it was either lock these guys up long term now or ride out their rookie deals and then hold a press conference with the typical "the money wasn't where we wanted it" "financial flexibility" lines when they sign somewhere else in FA.

It seems like his strategy is to use the "savings" to load up the bullpen.

I vote for both a walk of shame and banishment.

I wonder what that Dansby discount we supposedly could have gotten looked like

Dansby has been awful.

Looks like AA made the right decision.

This is absolutely what I thought would happen.

This is what's been happening. And then they're draining the farm to fill those needs instead of just re-signing their own and using the farm to improve elsewhere or make a bigger deal come deadline time

The good news is the Braves still have a better record than the Cardinals.

No way that was conclusive. Maybe I’m biased but seems like the Braves get screwed so much with challenges.
