This is just a dumb comparison. Jair was great until injuries derailed his career. He went from a guy throwing a 92 mph fastball to a guy throwing a sub 90 mph fastball, at which point he was toast.
Elder has pretty mediocre stuff, so he's going to have to be pretty much on point with control to be effective. And lately he definitely has not been.
