Well none of that is happening, so this is what we ride with.

You're right. But I'll continue to bitch unless we somehow manage to win another 'ship this season.

Our bullpen pitching is back to the braves pitching I remember. They were so solid this first half of the year. Of course it's only been a few games of actual horrid pitching, and many games of not. So not yet ready to completely take them to the woodshed yet.

Sean Murphy is the greatest fly-out hitter I've ever seen. Dude has not come through in one game since being declared a great hitter and catcher by most of you about a month ago.

Not that impressed with Riley either. And our pitching is absolute fricking garbage. Losing a 16-13 game against the trash D-backs? My God.

That's kind of meaningless right now I guess. But go ahead and white-knight for him.

Jackson Stevens pitched in Rome tonight. Possible bullpen help soon.

The man scored 7 runs tonight. Braves should’ve won with just his RBI’s alone.

This team needs a bullpen shot in the arm. Chavez, Minter, and Lee need to get healthy ASAP, and another left needs to be added.

It’s a 162 game season. There will be ebbs and flows.

Despite their 3rd consecutive loss, the Braves still:

lead MIA by 9.5 in NLE
lead LAD by 6.5 in NL
lead TB by 3.5 in MLB

I’m talking specifically about the arc of their year. All stars to letdowns.

Your comparison was shite because Jair only sucked when he was injured, there is no comparison to how they pitched or had letdowns. Jair was a #2/#3 when healthy (and his peripherals supported that), when not healthy he was bad.

If you think I’m foolish for being concerned about a pitcher with average stuff having a second half letdown, then great. We disagree.

Too be clear, I agree with you about Elder, we don't disagree at all there. I was calling your comparison dumb because Jair was a tremendously better pitcher than Elder when healthy, not as a defense of Elder.

Elder is a pitcher with #4/#5 starter stuff. Even when he had an amazing ERA in the first half his FIP was in the 3.6/3.7 range. He was just extremely lucky for most of the first half. The only way Elder is going to be a #3 starter type is if he has extremely good control of his sinker in the strike zone, and for the last month or so he hasn't had that and has gotten rocked. Pitchers with barely above 90 mph fastballs like Elder have zero margin for error.
