Wonder if at some point Money Mike gets moved up to 2 or 3 and Riley slides down to 4 or 5... maybe flip with Olsen depending on LHP/RHP.

They're not going to move Harris up to 3 and have him and Olson hitting back to back.
Too easy to bring in a lefty out of the pen and nullify the heart of our order.

It was always unrealistic to expect AA to bat 1.000 on these extensions, IMO. If this version of Riley is his worst miss, then he did well. We obviously want Riley to be better, but it's not like he's Chris Davis out there.

Maybe, maybe not….however it was decisions like that which likely played a part in their rebuilt core flaming out so quickly.
On the flip side AA took those initial rebuild pieces acquired by Coppy (and the international products brought in during Wren’s time) and has built what appears to be a sustainable juggernaut. Both teams got their championship but the Braves and Astros have done it right and kept it going.
