I really hope this is finally the year that Ozzie finally solidifies himself as a top of the order hitter. It seems like we put him there out of necessity at some point each season and he falters in it after a hot start.

I guess it was to cover if TDA got hurt today during the game. I don’t remember who the emergency catcher is. I thought Culbertson could in an emergency, but I could be wrong.

Culberson was in the Sandoval/Heredia role of mascot/cheerleader. He’s been on the roster for over a month and has not played once.
I understand the sentimentality but his time is done.
He was here in case of an injury to an infielder. Better him to rot on the bench than Shewmake or Grissom.
