This is what happens when you pull your starter 2 innings early. You get analytics and fans thinking "we can just replace those 40 pitches on sunday"

No, you just fricked your starter and bullpen for the rest of the series

I’m confused by this logic. I’m not sure what scenario, other than being down 3-1 with all hands on deck, where Anderson would be available at all for game 5 on one day’s rest regardless of throwing 76 pitches like he did or if he went another two innings and ran his count up near 100

Pulling him was the right call imo. Trying to stretch him out another couple of innings wouldve really been flirting with disaster, especially with the top of their order coming up in the 6th

Exactly. If he needs to work on anything, it's being a little more efficient so that he can go a smidge deeper. But that's being nitpicky.

I didn't want that lineup seeing him a 3rd time.

A sub 2 ERA in 35 2/3 PS innings is just ridiculous!.

I thought he was horrific both ways.

One that sticks out to me is the Tucker at bat with 1st and 2nd two outs in a 0-0 count. That was a horrific call

But I will not complain too much because I expected that piece of shite to have a bad game because that’s who he is. And the Astros have clearly benefited from some strike three calls as well.

You guys are preaching to the choir when it comes to umpire ineptness. Couldn’t be more all in for robot umps

ETA: forgot about the Rosario check swing frickery too. That definitely should be graded in that graph too

So third straight game they favor Astros ? What a shitshow. Nba type officiating. Disgraceful.

.21 isn’t bad at all but it’s still 3 straight for them and 12/13 in playoffs against us

Game 6 of the 1995 World Series, Glavine 76 pitches through 5 innings, 0 hits.

Game 3 last night, Ian Anderson, 76 pitches through 5 innings, 0 hits.

Yup. I was thinking of that game
All night when score was 1-0. Justice had only run. A solo shot. Remember watching like it was yesterday.

JUSTICE WILL
BE
SERVED!!!

Any idea or guess about how they’ve got the pitching mapped out tonight?

Perhaps not coincidentally, the Glavine game was our last home World Series before last night. Ian was really good last night even though his ball/strike ratio was bad.

I didn't think Hallion really favored the Braves or Astros last night. He was bad all around. That ball that Smith threw right down the middle and was called a ball was really bad

Anyone able to make that tucker diving catch into a gif of him catching an L?

Sort of salty about it and need to turn it around

Sure why not. I think snit goes all in for tomorrow night and won’t waste any big arms tonight unless absolutely needed.

Happened three times in the last 2 games. Not sure what games you're watching.
