I hope so, but there is no real data to support this right now.

True. I love the Crime Dog, but it was an absolute travesty he got in the Hall and you didn’t.

I trust AA.
He’s going to sign Bauer giving us 5 starters. Then use the other guys as trade bait for Reynolds.
Sneaky bastard.

We re-signed Jackson Stephens today, which I’m happy about. He’s a solid, low-leverage innings eater.

Notable sentence in that statement: "Atlanta's 40 man roster is now full." I do not expect any other big moves.

Opening day lineup prediction:

Acuna
Harris
Riley
Olson
Albies
Murphy
Rosario
Ozuna
Grissom

Yep, and our season will likely go as 7-9 goes.

Vegas generally knows best, but I don't see how the Phillies are 5 games worse than the Braves or 7 games worse than the Mets. I guess the logic is something has to give in-division, and Vegas seems to think Philly will be on the bad end of head to heads against us and the Mets.

I don't know, that top 6 can put up runs and get us to where most teams can't catch up and it won't really matter a lot what 7-9 do. In the playoffs is where that becomes a real issue.

I will say last year it seemed like we missed a lot of teams best pitchers (except for the Mets), or played against teams more often when they were struggling or just playing kind of mediocre (like not us really playing the Marlins much when they were pretty hot, for example). Part of that was obviously us being a good team and beating most teams, but I think our schedule really worked in our favor last year and in a tight division race if it swings back to the norm more it can be the difference.

Banking on bounceback seasons from Rosario and Ozuna seems like a risky move. Would love to have a little more stability there, but the writing was on the wall after the Jiminez and Murphy trades (to me, anyways) that nothing else major was coming.

I do think Olson could have a monster, MVP type year. Last year had to be a little tough for him with all of the Freeman stuff and adjusting to a new league.

We really, really, really need Ronald to bounceback and be the pre-injury 2021 version of himself. It almost seems like AA is counting on that to happen, which seems risky to me.
