We don’t have 1 pitcher with the balls to do that to Harper. The one guy who would was injured all year - Matzek. I guarantee you Bauer would have hit him and then walked right towards the plate. But we can’t have that type of player on a team built for April/May/June.

It would be retarded to do that to Harper.

Hitting dudes, especially in the postseason, is retarded.

He shoved in Game 6 in '21 when it mattered most, how quickly we forget.

Bauer

There's that name again.

He's not some hero riding in on a white horse.

The infatuation w/this guy is weird.

He's a really good, established pitcher. A much better option than waiting on Soroka to return to form.

I'm not buying.

I'm w/you on Soroka.

Now Dylan Cease? That's a realistic option who isn't a clubhouse cancer and is a solid #2.

They don't want Rosario. They traded him to us for a mascot two years ago. Also, that wouldn't be nearly enough to get Bieber. That trade would probably have to start with Grissom and a high end pitching prospect.

Hopefully you’re not one of the ones crowing about small sample size.

He delivered when it mattered the most. If that isn't enough for you than that's a "you" problem.

Glavine didn't have the best postseason stats either but shoved when it mattered the most.

That was the only playoff game he pitched in that mattered?

I mean, if we’re playing the sample size game with Fried, he has had more good outings than bad.

The argument isn’t whether or not he “has it” when it comes to keeping him. It’s whether or not this blister thing becomes a bigger concern. When he’s on and healthy, he’s a borderline Cy Young lefty. You shouldn’t let that walk in most cases.

Come next October it will be 3 years since Fried “shoved”. So we are suppose to rely on that?

I realize we have very limited options. But just running it back and then watching real fall pitching beat us for a 3rd year in a row will be tough. Bauer is a free agent that will take anything to get off the black ball list and yet we won’t even consider it. It just shows that being comfortable breeds complacency and that winning isn’t the real goal. The real goal is always money. Will be interesting to see how the fans attendance plays out next year.

Bieber is gone next year from Cleveland no matter what. Wouldn’t cost as much as some think. Was just a thought, not sure why fellow Braves fan get hostile and name call.

Pitching wasn’t the problem this post season.
