Him actually doing something in the post season (unlike most of the team) doesn't mean he is automatically this leader/hardass we can count on. I just really have never seen that quality from him to this point.

Austin strikes me as the guy you want on your side in a bar fight and not someone you wanna piss off. He has a dog quality to him.

The two downvoters to my Arcia comment, who are you gonna put in there, Grissom? LOL. He's not a SS.

Arcia is cheap, a decent enough hitter, and is a vaccum at short, he isn't going anywhere.

Arcia has a great arm, but poor range. He’s worth keeping around one more year and spend money elsewhere.

Y’all are gonna have to with Anderson what I was telling y’all to do with Soroka all off-season and then Wright once we knew he had an injured shoulder. Pretend like they don’t exist. Do not expect them to throw 1 single pitch at the big

While I agree with not counting on him, this is just a bad comparison. Pitchers have never returned from double Achilles surgery, and are almost always done after major shoulder surgery. But Ian had Tommy John, that's easy as hell to return from.

Now I don't expect Anderson to be worth a crap, but it'll have nothing to do with his injury. It'll be because he's basically a two pitch pitcher with a mediocre fastball and a garbage breaking ball.

No one is saying Bauer is a magic elixir. We are simply looking at we could actually get. And on the pitching side Bauer is a guy who would take less right now to get back into the majors. I’d much rather have Wheeler, Nola, or 30 other guys but the Braves won’t/can’t afford them. So Bauer is the one guy who we could get and give us high quality innings.

And I agree Arcia is going nowhere but we know he is a major hole in our lineup next October when we face Wheeler/Nola again.

As for Morton and Fried - they have been no shows for 2 postseasons now. The calendar will soon say 2024. Neither guys is near the pitcher they were in 2021.

Fried gave us 7.1 innings with 7 ER with 5 K’s and 5 walks over the last 2 Octobers. A joke.

Morton gave us a whopping 2 innings with 3 ER’s in the past 2 Octobers. Ridiculous.

Pick up Eddie’s option, trade with Cleveland for Bieber.

Bieber
Fried
Strider
Morton
Elder
AJSS

I like that.

All that matters is October and November. You guys giving players free passes to suck will say the same thing next year.

Here’s something to consider - playoff series are all small sample sizes and a team will win a title using small sample sizes. And it won’t be our team because our star pitchers were curled up in a corner while the Phillies pitchers gave us a piece of their sample size.

Max has a 4.57 ERA for his career in the postseason.

Giving up 10 hits per 9

Offer him a super friendly team deal and if doesn't sign it, trade him. No use letting him go for nothing.

Right. Haven’t we gone through this already? How often does the team with the best record, i.e. the best team, win the WS? There are teams that are built for a long, grueling season. And there are teams that are built for a high pressure 3 weeks. To ignore that is foolish.

Darius Vines might be a starter next year. He knows how to pitch.

And the stupid continues.

Vine’s isn’t a starting caliber pitcher. He will get some spot starts, but if he’s a fixture in our rotation next year, AA failed.

Oh, I know. I’m sure his bear-poking days are over and he’ll grow from this. I’m rooting for him.
