Rosario is a lazy arse left fielder. Hope he’s moved
Agreed. His bat does not nearly make up for his defensive liabilities. But he’s cheap. 9 million doesn’t get nearly what it used to. Other than LF and SS there’s really no other opportunity to improve significantly. At least as far as the regular season is concerned. Hopefully eventually some of these guys won’t play with puckered buttholes come playoff time. But that’s hard to predict.

Two blocks in the back and a takedown helping Michigan on a punt return for good yardage.

Kevin Pillar-
It was an absolutely honor to wear Atlanta Braves across my chest. I will miss showing up at Truist playing in front of y’all! Till we meet again!

I was really glad Pillar came and played for the Braves, after Jacob Webb smashed his face with a fastball. I can't completely explain my feelings on that, other than to say that he seems like a good man to me.
I didn't ever follow an MLB team year after year until I moved to Atlanta. Maybe someone can give me an opinion on something: is it usual for a club to sort of "chew through" young pitching talent like the Braves have?
Ian Anderson, Kyle Wright, Mike Soroka, Max Fried, Mike Foltynewicz... they've all mostly followed the same flash-in-the-pan trajectory. Bryce Elder is, I fear, queued up for much the same. And that's not even getting into the guys who fizzled altogether, like Aaron Blair and Matt Wisler. Then you read about Steve Avery and think, wow, this is just in this organizations DNA.
I don't know, though. Like I said, I am a noob.

There’s a lot of injuries with MLB pitching.

You don't have to flame me, man .
"Flash in the pan" is unfair to Fried, though. I get it.

frick this thread popping up to the front page just pissed me off all over again with how epically everyone from FO, management and the players choked away an historic season.
I remember a few months back saying that this season shouldn't be viewed as a failure if our baseline finish was a loss in the NLCS in 6 or 7 games. Truthfully, I was setting myself up to rationalize this season if we didn't win the world series despite having the best team in baseball. But to go down in 4 games in the NLDS to the same division opponent that took you out in the same spot last year... complete and total failure that overshadows everything else that was accomplished this year.

Since the advent of the Wild Card, 7 Wild Card teams have won the World Series. 3 times in the NL East, 1 time in the AL West, 1 time in the AL East, 1 time in the NL Central, 1 time in the NL West, but 3 times in the NL East... and all 3 of those times, we were the division winner.
And it's about to be a fourth time with the way Philly is playing. We really are such a choke job of a franchise. You can't tell me we wouldn't have rolled through the rest of the postseason if not for the fricking Phillies.

Rosario a gold glove finalist? Who decided the nominees? Stevie Wonder?

Idk if we beat the Rangers tbh, but the way the DBacks have played you gotta think we are sitting 2-0 right now like Philly is.

What in the frick
Also, man, still pissed off about how we let the Phillies just punk our arse repeatedly.
Jordan Montgomery would look good in a braves uniform next year. And eovaldi has more fire in him than our whole offense did
Hope braves realize no one is going to get tricked into caring about the regular season next year no matter how dominant they are.

If he wins, he'll be the 2nd worst gold glove winner of all time.
Behind Jeter.

Didnt love AAs interviews post playoff loss. Pretty low energy just like the team. Excused it by saying we didn't hit with runners on. Not sure what I wanted to hear but would have liked some more anger in there.

He's the GM, he has to be professional in interviews. Doesn't mean he isn't mad/upset, but he has to have decorum in public.

To be fair, he said something similar last year and we still lost to the same team in the NLDS.
