can you be a bust if you are always injured? Like Greg Oden is he considered a bust? Honest question.

Good question, and I say yes. You’re a bust if you were hyped to be really good and you don’t meet those expectations, for whatever reason.

I have way more sympathy for guys who are injury busts though.

Isn’t he like 2 weeks away from an evaluation to determine if he can start to participate in stretching exercises??

Is he injured? I lost track. Trying to go to another team?

I’d say not yet but clock is ticking. Not sure how can miss whatever it is 3 seasons and come back

He is a bust right now. Without question he is young enough to get in shape and get out of that. Hell, he has league MVP (at some point) level talent in him. Right now you can’t give him the benefit of the doubt that he will realize any of that talent. Kid needs to get to work

N.O. is just a bust

Pelicans don't rate on the cool factor. Not enough exposure for a massive ego, so Zion wants out.

He’s a total bust already. The onus is on him to dispel it.

People don’t want to play/live in New Orleans, I don’t understand why that’s so hard to understand. The only reason NO still has a team is because of Hurricane Katrina. Seattle is the better place for a team, even the hardcore Pelicans fans know that deep down.

They were the one seed at one point. They’re talented enough on paper to make that happen again (Nugs fan). Keep ‘em healthy, and the Pels can compete.

We have a pretty large sample size to tell us a core of Zion/BI won’t stay healthy

They’ve barely been on the court at the same time

He already is a bust. He's fat, out of shape and barely plays. No self discipline. His public affair with a fat porn whore shows his poor decision making. I would be very surprised if he turns his career around.

he's not a bust.
avg 27 8 4.
not a bust. he has an impact when he plays.

wrong category.

1. he's "oft injured".
2. and immature and badly guided - if at all.

I agree. They also barely rate on the chance to make the playoffs. Sure, they have an excuse every time they don't make it though. You know what they say about excuses though.

Just like every top 5 draft pick would do. Crappy smelly town and you won't invest money to get top players to compete for a championship? Why would any top player want to stay. How many times does the same thing happen before those idiots figure it out? Or......maybe they have figured it out and don't give a f*ck!

Yeah, he could definitely land in Dwight Howard territory, where he goes from being super hyped because of freakish athleticism to being said journey man making veteran minimum and chasing a ring.

Dwight Howard will make the HOF

Performance hasn't been the issue though. He didn't struggle to acclimate to the league in a game sense. Its his body/how hes chosen to handle his body.

Meaning he has the chance to drop some weight, take training seriously, and be a contributing member to a team

If he were serious about this and went to the Heat, he would kill it. Bam would kick his arse.

He's already "made it through a season"

He played the vast majority of the year his 2nd year under SVG.
