I know it's different for each sport (tennis players peak early) but on the whole, I'd probably say age 28/29.

There is a difference between physical peak and peak as a player. I would say peak as a player is late 20's. I would say physical peak is more early 20s. Maybe 22 for absolute peak athleticism.

27 is typically the age acknowledged as peak for athleticism.

I am also relating this to myself. When I was early 20's I was fast as hell and could jump over the hood of a car, dunk a basketball, run for days, etc. I would call that my physical peak as I do not think I was ever more athletic.

I am stronger today than then almost as lean, same waist size. But I can't dunk anymore, run the same speed or as long.

Look at Olympians in track and field and gymnastics. I think by late 20s you have lost a step from peak athleticism.

I say 22-24.

I've read 25-29 is the physical prime for a male athlete.

Definitely younger and younger. I'd say between 22-25 is the range.

I feel certain I was quickest, and most agile in my early 20s. I know for certain my vertical leap, which is a decent indicator, was the highest of my life around my junior year of college.

Physical peak, definitely. but at 25 or 26 you have basically the same athleticism, barring injury.

the difference is experience. Which develops skills, coordination, & knowledge, which boosts the players overall skillset.

I agree with that. I think the mental part makes the peak for an athlete later 20s and I am referring to pure athleticism only when I say early 20s.

Btw, I just googled and average age of an Olympic sprinter is 25.

If athletes had the wisdom from years of experience when they were 20 with such amazing athleticism, they'd be unbelievable.

In my sport MOST guys don't really figure it all out until 28-32

Some guys are tearing it up sooner, but those vets in the 30 range are always tough as f to beat
