I just got around to watching it. Very interesting. Any boxing/combat sports fan should watch this.

And I hope Panama Lewis was raped in prison.

I watched this the other morning. They did a great job of letting Lewis hang himself. What a lying no good sack of dog shite he is.

Yeah I loved how Panama was still trying to get on his feet according to him while he was wearing all kinds of jewelry and staying in a 5 star hotel in NYC.

Decent of Resto to man up and want to apologize to the family though.

I thought it was horrible that Collins' dad wouldn't let him fight again so that he wouldn't screw up the lawsuit.

The detached iris and potential blindness had nothing to do with that decision.

That's what Collins dad claimed. Some people said the injury wasn't as permanent as Collin's dad claimed and Billy could safely fight again.

"The detached iris and potential blindness had nothing to do with that decision. "

one of the doctors was interviewed, he said he thought he could fight again, that collins dad held him out because they had initiated a $65 million lawsuit vs the state boxing commission

I DVR'd it, and have only watched the first 30-35 minutes. must have missed the doctor interview.

Wasn't Panama the one who had the "special" water for A.Pryor back in the day.

This documentary pretty much confirms what I've always thought about Lewis, but my feelings are still torn about Resto. Part of me wants to think he is a total piece of shite, but another part of me thinks that he had too much blind faith in Lewis, and he didn't have enough sense to realize the implications of what was going on on.

I also have mixed feelings about Collins Sr. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a son, but at the same time he doesnt come across as the most sympathetic person out there either. If it's true that Collins Jr could have fought again but didn't because Collins Sr was afraid it would frick up the lawsuit...well, thats just fricked up. Also, I've read that Collins Sr was not only big into raising pitbulls for dogfighting, but that he would bring his kids to the dogfights and make them watch...well, that's pretty fricked up too.

Good documentary, but depressing as hell.

PS...on a side note, as a kid I loved Aaron Pryor...now I'm totally having second thoughts. Then again, do you think he knew what was in the water bottle, or was he just following orders from his trainer?

This is what I took from it. I don't think he is the sharpest tool in the shed and was very naive. With that he knew what he was doing was wrong. He just couldn't imagine the consequences of his actions though.

I was on his side until the meeting in Dairy Queen. Honestly, who gives a crap about the gloves and who tampered with them when he admits to putting plaster on his hands?

That too. The film maker even said that he had set out to prove his innocence and ended up doing the opposite in the process. What Resto did do as opposed to Panama and all others involved was admit his guilt and look to seek forgiveness from the Collins family.
